How to Install Ford Lower Chin Spoiler on your Mustang

  • 10mm socket
  • 7mm socket
  • 7/32 socket
  • Phillips screw driver
  • Ratchet
  • Floor jack
  • (2) Jack stands
  • (2) Wheel chocks
  • Thread Lock

Please Note: This was an install on a 2010 Ford GT500.


Removal Procedure:

1. Engage emergency brake and place transmission shifter in reverse. 

2. Place wheel chocks behind rear wheels and raise vehicle with floor jack 

3. Install jack stands under the front frame of the vehicle. 

4. Begin by using a 7mm socket/ratchet to remove (1 ea.) lower fastener located at the front wheel well on both sides of vehicle. 


5. To remove the upper fastener located at the front wheel well on both sides of the vehicle, use a phillip screwdriver. 

6. Use a 7/32 socket/ratchet to remove (4 ea.) fasteners along bottom rear of chin spoiler. 


7. Use a 10mm socket/ratchet to remove (12 ea.) fasteners along the bottom front side of the chin spoiler. 


8. Chin spoiler is now ready to be removed from vehicle.


Installation Procedure:

1. Using the original factory hardware, install is completed in the reverse order. 

Note: Apply thread lock to (12 ea.) 10mm fasteners upon installation.
