How to Install Ford Performance Tie Down Kit (15-17 All) on your Ford Mustang

The use of a floor hoist is recommended for this installation. If you do not have access to one, use a hydraulic floor jack and jack stands to raise the vehicle. 

! ! CAUTION: JACK STANDS MUST BE USED ON A LEVEL SURFACE AND BE SECURELY SEATED. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY OR VEHICLE DAMAGE ! ! 

Step 1: Raise and support vehicle. Follow all appropriate safety precautions.  

Step 2: At the front of the vehicle, remove the four bolts (two per side) identified in the picture below. These are located behind the front wheels, at the outer pinch weld area. 

Step 3: Identify the two provided tie down brackets with hole spacing that matches the holes left after bolts were removed. After applying blue threadlocker to the provided M10 bolts, install the forward two tie down brackets as shown below. The loops will point FORWARD. Torque bolts to 55 ft.lbs. 

Step 4: At the rear of the vehicle, locate the four threaded bolt holes (two per side) identified in the picture below. These are located in front the rear wheels, at the outer pinch weld area. 

Step 5: After applying blue threadlocker to the provided bolts, install the remaining M10 bolts and rear two tie down brackets as shown below. The loops will point REARWARD. Torque bolts to 55 ft.lbs. 

Step 6: Safely lower vehicle. Enjoy the ease and simplicity of your new Ford Performance Tie Down Kit!
