GMS 8.8 Rear End Differential Cover (79-10)

The factory stock Mustang 8.8 rear end in theory can support about 400 horsepower. Unfortunately this is not always the case and this can leave people upgrading to aftermarket axles and differentials much earlier then expected as their horsepower begins to climb. Fortunately for us, the good folks at Granatelli Motor Sports have come up with a way to greatly strengthen your factory rear in about 30mins and at a fraction of the cost of replacing your differential.

The Granatelli Motor Sports 8.8 Girdle Support System (a.k.a. differential cover) for 1979-2010 Mustangs features heavy duty, yet lightweight, cast aluminum construction, drain and fill plugs, and premium hardware. It substantially increases your rear strength, durability, and lifespan, and is a direct fitment to OEM 8.8” differentials.

The Kit includes all necessary hardware, including gaskets and bolts. An exclusive bearing support system prevents side load bearing deflection.
