Superb characteristics under load. This 8.8" differential cover for 1986-2013+ Mustangs gives the old adage, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” a whole new meaning! This cover gives much better heat dissipation and supports less side-to-side bearing deflection than stock.
Recommended Upgrade. When changing your differential cover it is recommended to upgrade to fresh Royal Purple Synthetic Gear Oil. You will need 3 quarts of Gear Oil.
Application. This Differential Cover is designed to fit the 1986 to 2013+ V8 Mustangs equipped with the 8.8" rear end and installs in approximately 30 minutes using basic hand tools. It does not fit 1999-2004 IRS Cobra or 2012 Laguna Seca edition BOSS Mustangs or 2013-2014 GT500.
Please note that this differential cover will not fit gears higher than 4.10, it will only fit gears 4.10 and below.
Technical Note. Gasket not included. Manufacture recommends the use of a stock style gasket or a bead of Form-a-Gasket for a proper seal.
