Fitment Question These are listed for 05-10 cars, but I was under the impression that these will work on the 11-13 cars if you use the GT500 strut mounts. Is that correct?

  • Yes, you will need the strut mounts for a good build.

Will it fit with Eibach Pro kit for 2012 GT? My stock strut mount started making clunky noise. Now, I have stock strut and Eibach Pro-Kit Springs - Coupe & Convertible (11-14 GT, V6, BOSS). Will KONI STR.T Front Strut (05-10 All) and GT500 strut mount fit with Eibach springs?

Answer This Question I need this answered (0) (0)

How will these work with H&R Race Springs? I just purchased H&R Race Springs for my 09 V6, I am replacing my Eibach Sportlines as I don't like how the rear springs cause the car to rest on the bump stops. I figured when I take it apart I might as well go ahead and replace the shocks and struts as well. I was wondering how these struts and shocks would work with the H&R Springs? I am looking for something that I don't have to mess with the adjustments on them. More less just looking for a bolt on and go setup. If anyone could give me any input that would be great!

  • After extensive research, I have seen countless people on forums say that the H R springs with Koni Str.t's are a great combo. Search for these shocks on some mustang forums and you will find the same.

Will this work on the 2014 GT if i use the GT500 Strut Mounts???? If So... Will it bolt on to other parts no problem?? I was just on the chat with on of the AM Support and they advised me that it "MAY" not fit correctly on the control arms. Please enlighten me..

  • The KONI STR.T Front Strut (05-10 All) will not fit a 2014 mustang with the Ford Performance GT500 Style Strut Mount Upgrade (05-14 All). For the GT500 strut mounts you to work on a 2014 you will need to pair this up with Ford Racing shock/struts and springs from Ford racing.

Question Resolved

Hi, It says that this strut will only fit all 05-10 Mustangs. I have a 2012 GT500 will this work because it has the same Koni part number as the one that lethal performance has for sale and also the Koni website. On there websites it says part number 8750-1030 will fit 07-14 Shelby gt500's.

  • I cannot speak on other vendors part numbers. I can only guarantee you that KONI has informed us that this front strut was designed to only work with the 2005 to 2010 Mustang GT.

    Don't bother

Have had these for about a year and a half, after having to send the first pair back for crazy squeaking. Squeaking again all over the place, and have totally failed causing me to need replacing the ball joints, tierods, and strut mount. Put it this way, they've failed so hard that the stress of the failure broke my steeda heavy duty strut mounts. Yeah... so kudos to those who claim they're awesome struts, but this just further lends credence to the term "you get what you pay for."

Had these struts as well as the ford racing mounts installed at a shop. my mustang corners so much better than the stock struts. With these and the Koni shocks on the rear it handles like its on rails. No lift on acceleration and no nose dive when braking.the ride is a little stiffer but not bone jarring.I would recommend these for anyone looking to improve handling.

    Smooth ride

I installed these with the new SR lowering springs. The ride is excellent and much better than the stock struts and shocks with 71000 miles on them. The car rides smooth through turns and bumps are the same as when the car was new. I highly reccommend these struts.

    Great Ride!

I installed these in an afternoon with a pneumatic driver... I can see that if you don't have any air tools that this install could be a little challenging; you certainly need to have a spring compressor and if you don't you can rent one from AutoZone or the like... I also combined this order with the GT500 strut mounts and believe me, that was a GOOD decision as my old stock mounts upon disassembly (like others have attested to) just broke apart in my hands and ball bearings went flying everywhere! I do have to say, what I'm sure was just an odd occurrence; my driver side Koni strut blew out right away. I had fluid all up in my wheel well after my first test drive. Must've been a manufacturing defect. But AM made it right and sent me a replacement strut ASAP. After installing the replacement Koni, and a follow up alignment (which you must do anytime you change anything in your suspension) I was good to go... Handling is SO much better! The car stays much flatter in turns and is a NOTICABLY firmer ride than stock. Even though I can feel the road much better, the ride is still smooth and just gives you a confident feeling that you are in a car with much better sport handling and control. ... Love it! These struts are a major improvement over stock and I would definitely recommend if you are considering upgrading your suspension. they added some more of that "new car" excitement to my 90K mile, '06 Stang...!

Big improvement in ride quality and handling!!

Bought the struts and shocks together to replace the stiff and aggressive GT500KR setup I had, With the Ford 1" lowering springs, ride quality is awesome and handling improved! Gives a nice comfortable ride while hitting bumps and the steering is tight and solid. I have 18" SVT wheels on and have no complaints at all about the ride quality and comfort, definitely recommend them as an upgrade from stock!!

    SR springs + Koni STR.T

I recommend this combo. I rode on the SR springs for a couple of months until my GF could not stand the bumps anymore. I purchased these and made her happy again.

    Nice struts

I bought these struts to go along with the SR Springs I bought not too long ago. I could feel a difference with these installed over the stock struts. The ride is much more stable now. I also installed the GT500 strut mounts as well so that too might have helped. These are entry level but should do the job nicely when lowering your car.

It's an absolute Must Have upgrade!

This is the first upgrade that you should do. My car finally handles like a sports car. After months of research, I finally decided to pull the trigger on these. I drive my car hard on the road but do not do any autocross so the adjustable shocks are just not necessary. I was extremely nervous about choosing the correct shock and spring because my car is a DD. I went with these Koni's and Steeda Sports and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! Its a perfect combo. I absolutely destroy my friends brand new BMW 3-series on the road. The only thing that I had to change is the color of Koni 'GM' orange. I painted mine red before installation to fit the color scheme of my car.

    Awesome ride quality!

Ive previously lowered a 97 mustang gt on eibach sport lines using oem shocks/ struts and a 2004 Lexus is300 with eibach pro kit and oem shocks/struts. This time on my 2007 mustang gt/cs I used FRPP k springs, koni STR.T shocks/struts with eibach camber bolts, gt500 upper strut mounts, and a stack racing strut tower brace, I must say, wow, I've never driven a car that feels this great! Everytime I drive, I feel as if it is a different car, perfect for the street! Highly recommend this setup, you will have fun!

    Upgrade your suspension

Got this done along with several other suspension mods so I can't objectively say how much this one particular part played a role but guys at the shop seemed impressed with them. These along with other suspension mods made my driving experience so much better. Never realized what an upgrade over stock suspension would do but it feels like an entirely new car. Much more responsive and no more plowing through turns. Full suspension upgrades included... 1. GT500 Strut mounts 2. Koni struts/shocks 3. SR front/rear sway bars 4. JM adjustable panhard bar 5. SR Bumpsteer 5. SR Rear Upper/Lower control arms 6. Ford Racing front control arms 7. Ford Racing Lowering Springs So for all practical purposes a new upgraded suspension. Bought everything gradually over the course of the winter and I recommend to anyone to do something similar. You won't be disappointed.

    Great Upgrade

The Koni struts used in conjunction with the GT500 strut mounts are a great improvement on my 2011 GT/CS. I also replaced the stock springs with Eibach sport springs. I highly recommend this setup. A very important side note, you have to use the Koni struts for the 2010 Mustang when using the GT500 strut mounts, the 2011 struts do not fit in the GT500.

These are great struts. Put them on a 2010 Mustang V6 convertible along with the matching shocks and they greatly improved the ride. I had the Monroe Sensatrack shocks and struts on the car previously but these are so much better.

    Winter project

Over the winter I updated all the suspension parts on my 07 GT. Originally I put in Eiboch springs with stock parts. After a few seasons of dirving camber had become an issue. As winter happened it became the project. Installed: 1. Koni SRT struts, shocks - huge improvement on ride. 2. Ford Racing Front Lower Control Arms - easy install, added improvement over old stuff. 3. Ford Racing Jonce Bumpers - In there doing the parts replaced all with new 4. Ford Racing upper strut mount - smooth steering, no noise 5. Eibach camber bolts - easy install. Took car to the best alingment guy in the valley...made setting alignment super easy. Alingment guys feedback...." I have done quite a few mustangs for the guys in the valley, I have to say yours is the nicest riding one!" Thanks AM!!

    Its like riding on rails

I installed these Koni's in about 2 hours, easy and straight forward install. Combined with the SR lowering springs, my S197 handles like it is on rails. No more body roll and it keeps the car planted during spirited driving sessions. I highly recommend Koni STR.T to all Mustang owners, a must have upgrade!

    Great pair of struts

I bought these struts because I needed a replacement. These are not only a replacement, but they are also an uprgrad to the stock strut. I paired them with a set of SR performance springs and the car look and drives great! Next step is to get some schocks and head to the strip.
