Thank you for your purchase, we appreciate your business. Do not attempt this installation if proper safety equipment isn't available to you. Seek the assistance of a professional installer.

Kooks Mustang headers install from underneath the vehicle. Raising and securing the vehicle with jack stands is a must if a lift is not available.
To install this system you will want to have on hand the general assortment of hand tools. But you will also want to have the following, four jack stands, one hydraulic jack, a block of wood, a gasket scraper, anti seize, WD-40 also surgical gloves, and safety glasses.
It's a good idea to spray the lube to help loosen the connections and fasteners at this time. While the lube is doing its job we can start the installation.
#1—Start by disconnecting the battery and removing the air cleaner assembly. Now jack up the vehicle and secure with stands. S -
#2—Mark the locations of, arid remove the oxygen sensors.
#3—Remove the exhaust sys :em under the car, up to the clamp behind the "X" pipe. Remove the 13mm nuts and studs from the manifolds but leave the center stud on till last to support the manifold, then remove the center stud and lower the header from below.
#4—Support the motor with a jack and a bl6ck of wood, remove the motor mount bolt from both sides, and raise the motor. No| w you can remove the dipstick and tube, note the routing of the tube for reinstallation. Also remote the 13mm bolts holding the starter to the motor but you don't have to remove the wires, just let it hang.

#5—Remove three 13mm bolts from the steering shaft, one is under the dash. Mark the locations of the bolts and the alignment of the shaft for reinstallation later. Now install the forward passenger side oxygen sensor extension cable from the kit.
#6—This is a good time to scrape and clean the exhaust port surfaces, but be careful, the heads are aluminum. Then remove the motor mounts from both sides.
#7—Starting with the drivers side, slide the header up and onto the motor, and using the new hardware fasten the headers complete with the gasket and tighten. Install the passenger side header next and also fasten with new hardware. Reinstall the motor mounts and the starter onto the block. Replace the dipstick and the steering shaft being careful to install both the same way they came out.
#8—Install the "X" pipe system using the clamps and hardware from the kit. Before you tighten any thing, check that every thing is located, centered, and aligned correctly under the vehicle.
#9—Install oxygen sensors ahd connecjt-to harness. Don't forget the passenger side front sensor connects with the supplied extension cdble. Automatic cars require 3 02 Extensions.
#10—Lower the vehicle, replace the air cleaner assembly, and reconnect the battery.
