    Kinda noisy

Other than the metal to metal sound you get while driving down the road, it does what it was designed to do. Easy fitment, easy install. Two nuts, and two bolts drops the old one and install the new Panhard ( with both nuts on each end loose) adjust it to center the car, then tighten the nuts on both ends. The noise is caused by no rubber bushings at the mounting points of the panhard bar. The stock one has these bushings. Still a good product.

    MM PHB Install

I was able to install by myself. One side when in easy but the other side would not align. So I had to place jack stands under the frame rails and then I was able to easliy guide rear end housing to phb bolt. A little over an hour to complete. First thing I noticed was a slight increase in rear end noise. Nothing overbearing though. Tires are really planted to the ground now. No axle hop just spinning tires all the way through third. Stock Pirelli's cant handle the grip. Need better tires now to hook and book. The PHB and LCA's are just what I was looking for. No more sloppy rubber bushings and shedded a few pounds back in the rear.

    Not the best design

I bought this at the time I bought my FRPP lowering kit, after having read it was a must have. Well, it wasn't really a "must have" on my car as the axle was pretty close to aligned with the stock bar. I later installed the bar anyway as I had already bought it and it was just laying around collecting dust. The single worst part about this bar is adjusting it. You can't get a wrench on the passenger side jam nut with it mounted on the car. So, if you are unfortunate enough to need to adjust it to after installing it, you have to take the bar off to adjust.....and if you are still a little off, then the bar has to come off AGAIN....and again and again. After adjusting mine 4 times I got it within tolerance. Fortunately for me I own a shop and have a lift at my disposal. If you are doing this on your back in the driveway, save yourself the aggravation and get one that has the adjustments in the middle of the bar, or even on the sides but not with the jam nut on the ends like this one. After going through all the irritation, the bar itself functions well and I have yet to hear any real NVH increase and I put it through it's paces. Given all that, I call it 3 stars overall because of the poor engineering design on adjustments. If you take that out of the rating, it's a 4-5 star product. Knowing what I know now, I'd opt for another manufacturer with a better design....and thus I wouldn't recommend this particular design.

    THANKS MAXIM MOTORSPORT

Very easy upgrade that is well worth the money took about 45 mins to install and adjust the rear end. Took the car for a test drive and insult felt the difference. The car is much more predictable. Solid piece by Maxim motorsport :)

Center your axle, don't look lame.

The install was pretty easy. Getting the bolts off takes a little effort since they are torqued on there at 129 ft/lbs. I found the best way to install this was to jack the car up on the rear diff, and puts jack stands on the rear axle. This allows the car to squat as if it is sitting on the road, which allows you to get the perfect alignment of the axle to the body. Put the MM panhard bar in without any adjustment, as it is the same length as the stock panhard bar; this way you don't have to force the right side to line up. Loosen both jam nuts on either side of the panhard bar, then install the panhard bar. Simply rotate the panhard bar until the wheels are lined up. Then back off the panhard bar about a 1/4 turn, then hand tighten the passenger jam nut. Then take your 18mm wrench and tighten the panhard bar against that jam nut so it is tight. Then tighten the jam nut on the drivers side. This will all make sense once you are under the car. Hope it helps.

    Great quality, fit & finish

This panhard bar works and looks great, what more can you ask! Install was a piece of cake, the only PITA is the jamb nut on the passenger side but that's due to the car configuration, I found a pair of needle nose vice grips works good enough for that tight area though. Otherwise I have no complaints.

    Great Design

High quality aluminum design with spherical ends makes for a great performer. This panhard bar requires you to drop one end when adjusting the bar so you may want a different design if your always playing with adjustments. For everyone else, this is worth the money spent in return for a smooth noiseless ride. You'll need two 1-1/8" open end wrenches, a six point 18mm socket with breaker bar, a rubber or plastic mallet and a come-along or ratchet tie-down to draw the rear into position. Oh, and don't forget to have a sharpie marker on hand to mark your turns on the bar.

    Maximum Motorsports

The panhard rod was easy to install and is a high quality well made part. After install I could immediately tell the difference in handling. Just a few reasons why I am extremely happy with this product. The rear end is very tight, predictable through turns and over bumps now. The adjustability needed for my lowered S197 is excellent. The finish is great as well. A little more NVH but not enough to complain about, I put teflon tape over the bolt so no squeaks from the metal on metal contact. Overall a Great product!!

    Cheap supplement to suspension upgrades

The hardest part of the install is getting under the car. I had a lift and got the part on in less than 5 minutes and took another 5 to adjust it. With this part being relatively inexpensive and easy to install, anybody looking for a little more consistency between left and right turns or with a lowered mustang to take advantage of the adjustability, this part is a must have. Fair warning that should go without saying: this part is noisy. To be more specific I can hear a high pitched grindy noise coming from the rear but nothing a good exhaust and stereo won't overpower. Only noticeable at cruising speeds.

    Beats J&M

I installed a J&M panhard after lowering my car a year ago. It worked fine for a while, then I uh...bent the #$@% out of it. So, I replaced it with the MM bar. The superior quality over the J&M was instantly noticeable. The rearend feels a little more firm, too. Not sure how much spherical rod ends help on a panhard, but no complaints so far.

    PERFECT REAR ALIGNMENT

AFTER INSTALLING FORD RACING LOWERING SPRINGS,WHICH I ALSO PURCHASED FROM AMERICAN MUSCLE, THE REAR END NEEDED TO BE CENTERED UNDER THE VEHICLE. PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE SPRINGS, I TOOK MEASUREMENTS TO SEE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE REAR HOUSING AND THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE.THE MAXIMUM MOTORSPORTS ADJUSTABLE PANHARD BAR WAS JUST THE TICKET TO CENTER THE REAR END HOUSING.THE HEAVY DUTY ROD ENDS GIVE THE BAR A HIGH TECH LOOK, AND THE INSTALL WAS EASY WITH THE STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED WITH THE BAR.

Good quality, lighter than OEM, adjustability is terrific.

I purchased this product after lowering my '11 GT with Eibach Pro Kit springs. The geometry of the non-adjustable, OEM bar shifts the rear axle 1/2" or more to the driver's side after lowering, and I wanted it squared up again. The Maximum Motorsports panhard bar is a beautifully machined aluminum piece, and the installation and adjustment was very straightforward. It was easy to bring the rear axle back to dead center where it belonged I believe an adjustable bar is a must for anyone who lowers their '10+ Mustang, and this one did the job very nicely, with bonus points for losing a little weight over the OEM bar.
