Street Comp UHP. The Mickey Thompson Street Comp tire is built especially for ultra high performance applications that demand incredible traction, crisp handling, and high speed cornering ability. You get all these features along with the outstanding styling you would expect from Mickey Thompson.

Superior Wet And Dry Performance. Using a special compound formulated for both dry and wet traction, the Street Comp has a non-directional asymmetrical design for superior summer-oriented performance and features a 300 AA A UTQG rating.

Best Fit Application: 19 x 8.5 Inch 2005 to 2013+ Wheels

NOTE: These are extreme ultra high performance summer specific compound and tread tires. Use during the summer and warm temperature months will result in far superior traction over “all season” tires. Use during the winter months/cold temperatures drastically reduces traction and exponentially increases stopping distance as the compound becomes less sticky.

If i'm putting these on the rear of a 2016 gt with performance package what should i put on the front? thanks

Anonymous

  • Depending on what size you have in the front, I would recommend using a 255/35-20 Mickey Thompson item #79541 for a 20x8 or 20x8.5 or a 275/35-20 Mickey Thompson item #79542 for a 20x9 or a 20x9.5.

How many miles warranty these tires have

Wasif

  • These tires do not have a mileage warranty as the driving habits, driving conditions, tire and vehicle maintenance all play a part in the tread life of a tire and all differ with each purchaser.

Do you know if this tire will fit a lowered GT 97

Anonymous

  • This tire will be able to fit on a 1997 GT model Mustang as it not going to be too wide to cause clearance issues.

Which tire dimensions do you suggest to go with the rear setup? I plan on getting 20 inch ccw Lm20's all around

Anonymous

  • To properly recommend a tire, it would be crucial to have the width, and the offset of the wheel as well. If you could please contact us either by phone or email with this information, we would be more than happy to assist you.

For 305/35/20 what is the best psi to run nitrogen filled tires for good grip? Also is there a certain break in period? I'm struggling for grip but I have only had them for a few days

Rod

  • The tire pressure would depend on which kind of grip you need for your application. If you are over-steering, you can increase rear tire pressure or reduce the tire pressure in the front tires. If you are under-steering, you can lower the tire pressure in the front, or increase the rear tire pressure. If you are looking to increase traction for the rear tires only, you can increase the contact batch by reducing tire pressure in the rear, however, the tire pressure that works best for you would need to be determined by your needs, and may require some trial and error. On a side note, increasing or decreasing tire pressure from the recommended pressure from the manufacture can prematurely wear your tires.

    Looking good

I have been happy with the tires so far. Haven't testing how they do in rain yet but they definitely have better grip than anything I have had before and the price was decent.

    285/35 fitment

Fitment with the 285/35 and Tech 7 9.5 wheels was perfect. I was apprehensive on going with 10.5 wheel abd MT tire based on appearance of tire/wheel to body. This combination is perfect. I would suggest AM offer this combination of MT 255/40 and 285/35 tire with the 9.5 Tech 7 wheel.

    Great all around tire

I am now on my second set of rear tires, had the last set for almost 3 years. I was very impressed with how they handled in the rain as much as dry traction. I used to hydro plane all the time with stock tires and thought these would be worse because of large footprint, but they proved me wrong

    Mickey Thompson Street Comp Tires

My car (2013 Mustang GT with Track Package) came with Pirelli Summer Ultra Performance Tires. Rated to 220 mph triple A etc. ratings at $334.00 each. I did not get 30,000 miles out of those tires. I replaced them with Mickey Thompson Street Comp Tires at $239.00 each and got 40,000 miles out of them. Would have probably got 3-5k more out of them except had some bad camber ware on my front end that I keep getting checked but I'm told my front end is in specks. Bottom line, liked them enough to replace them with another set of the same!

    Great tire!

I can't count how many of these I've had for my different sets of wheels. They can go fast but they are sure sticky even with over 650 hp to the ground they still grab very well.
