MMD Hood Scoop - Unpainted (10-12 GT, V6)

Hey everyone I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and I’m taking a closer look at this preprinted hood scoop from MMD for all 2010 and up Mustangs. MMD continues to make some killer styling parts that are sure to make a dramatic improvement on any Mustang. This particular scoop is designed to give your factory mustang hood a subtle touch of that classic GT 350 styling. The scoop itself is constructed from ultra-durable abs plastic and can easily withstand the stresses of being mounted to the front of your ride. We here at American Muscle then paint each scoop using the same base and clear coat that ford uses in their factory for a perfect pain match as you can see with our grabber blue GT behind me. Included in the package is the preprinted hood scoop itself, plastic honeycomb insert, 3M tape and hardware, your template, and the detailed instructions. Now you do have to drill 3 holes into your factory hood to properly install the scoop, I know some of you may not be big fans of drilling to your ride but it’s a nice peace of mind to know that this scoop with both the hardware and 3M tape isn’t going to come flying off no matter how fast you push your ride. Once you have your 3 holes drilled go ahead and a prep the area underneath the scoop with the supplied adhesion promoter, once you have done that install the 3M tape in all the necessary spots remove the backing, line it up, and adhere carefully. Once you are done that simply tighten the 3 bolts underneath the hood and you are done. I know it sounds a little daunting drilling into your hood but you should have total confidence as the template and the detailed instructions make it a very straightforward install that should take you no more than an hour.
