Stronger. If you are upgrading the rear gears in your Pony it's a good idea to replace your wimpy stock Girdle Support System (a.k.a. differential cover) with a super strong Chrome Plated Steel Differential Cover for additional safety and great custom looks.

Superior Construction. This 8.8" Rear End Differential Cover is made from heavy duty gauge steel for strength and features a bright chrome finish that will be sure to attract attention. This chrome plated rear end cover comes complete with the necessary bolts and gaskets for installation.

Recommended Upgrade. When changing your differential cover it is recommended to upgrade to fresh Royal Purple Synthetic Gear Oil. You will need 3 quarts of Gear Oil.

Application. This Steel Rear End Differential Cover is designed to fit the 1979 to 2012 Mustangs equipped with the 8.8" rear end. Not for use on IRS equipped Mustangs.

Bought this as part of a complete rear-end rebuild on a 1995 GT. Really looks good- can be seen under the car. It's a good way of letting everyone know that you've got upgraded gears!The gasket that came with this was also better quality than the one in the gasket kit.

I had my gears changed to 3.73s and decided to add bling to the pumpkin. With the Steeda lowering springs and the fuel tank position... you don't really see it from behind as easy as I'd like but it's good enough for me to know it's there. Stronger than the stock cover. Bought one for the wife's 09 V6 too!

Installed my chrome differential cover in a couple of hours (due to difficulties with removing the fill plug). New cover came with all new bolts and gasket that fit perfectly. Filled differential with Royal Purple and had No leaks to deal with. Cover looks great and is stronger than original.
