Mustang Lower Billet Grille (05-09 GT) - Installation Instructions

The below installation instructions work for the following products:

Here at American Muscle, we're all about DIY (do it yourself). Of course, there's nothing wrong with seeking out a little bit of tech help prior to taking on an installation on your own. Our Mustang installation guides will provide valuable instructions and hopefully answer any how-to questions that you may have along the way.

Please read through the instructions carefully before starting this project.  Take the time to get all the materials together as well as all the safety equipment.

You will need an assistant to help you with this project.

If you can access the rear of your lower grille from underneath your car without raising it, you should be able to complete this project; otherwise, you will have to lift the car.

• Small Socket and Wrench Set
• Phillips Screwdriver
• Droplight or Other Portable Lighting Source (Optional)
• Jack and Jackstands (Optional)

Installation:

1. If the car's setup prevents you from accessing the rear of the lower grille, use your preferred method for raising the front of your car to gain access.



2. Remove the bolts that secure the belly pan to the car.



3. Put the C-nuts over the J-hooks as shown.





4. It may be easiest to pre-thread the hardware onto the screws.





5. Turn the J-hooks to the inside of the grille (to allow for clearance) and center the grille on the car. Have your assistant hold it in place from the front.



6. From the back, rotate a J-hook to secure it over the stock honeycomb or surround in a similar fashion to the one shown below.





7. While you hold it in place, have your assistant tighten the bolt using a Phillips screwdriver.





8. Repeat for the remaining hardware.



9. Replace the belly pan.



10. You're finished. Enjoy your new billet grille from Stack Racing.
