Review & Install Video

Hey everyone I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and checking out a really cool set of polished billet aluminum interior door handles for all 94-04 Mustangs. These handles are great for anyone who wants to set their interiors apart from the pack by replacing their boring factory plastic handles with these really sleek billet pieces. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times nothing beats billet in terms of quality and durability. These handles are CNC'd from a single block of aluminum and are a full handle replacement and not some stick on plastic piece like some other companies offer. Installing these handles is made easier due to the detailed instructions located on this page; however you will have to slightly disassemble your door handle just so you can remove the pin holding on your factory door handle. Since there is a little work involved let’s call it 2 hours from start to finish. If you’re like many mustang owners out there and you just can’t get enough of billet aluminum, and you really dig that racecar styling, then you’ll definitely want to grab a set of these handles today.

Clean Styling. Replace those ugly plastic factory interior door handles with a set of brightly polished handles that match the existing accents of your 1994-2004 Mustang to complete the unfinished look of your stock interior.

Superior Quality. The Polished Mustang Door Handles are CNC machined from high quality 6061 T6 billet aluminum that are then polished to a bright brilliant shine. These are true replacement handles not cheap covers like other companies sell.

    Looks great! Needs better directions

I got these billet door handles as a gift and they look great inside my car! It takes over an hour to install them so make some time for this project. The directions could have been more detailed in the package. It is fairly easy to disassemble the factory handle but putting it back together with the new spring and pin is tough, time consuming, and may require some extra hands.

    Great addition

These look great! Expecially if you get the billet switches too! It's a little frustrating getting the spring lined up, but if you realise that going into the installation it shouldn't be to bad. Tip, the instructions say you can use side cutters....don't it WILL NOT work, your going to need to use a saw.

    These are solid!

definitely makes it easier for people to know where to reach if they are new to Mustangs. You can feel the quality of the handles everytime you make a move yo exit your car, definitely would recommend.

    pain in the neck

Had a hard time with the handles. As long as you have patients you can do it.Just had to note where the spring goes & had to get some small lock washers for the small screws that go into those pins, the ones that were in with the hardware were to big.I messed up one pin & had to reorder.A.M sent me a hole new set.So now i have two extra handles & extra hardware.A.M.sent it to me for free.Thank You A.M.You guys are the best!! My new handles are awsome. They look really good.

    Best interior upgrade

Every Mustang owner reading this has had to show people where the door handle is letting them out at night. This mod eliminates that because the the handle catches light from outside. I also wired a blue accent light behind the handle to help. If you look the new Mustangs come with billet handles standard. Smart!

    Good look and solid

Had a little fun putting back the little spring, but beside that everything went just fine. Easier when you remove the door panels. They look nice, i'm very satisfied, fast shipping by AM !!

    B-E-A-utiful!

These are slick! Be sure you have time to do the install...patience is required. The spring can be tricky, but a pair of needle noise vice-grips will help keep things lined up. Also, removing the whole door panel makes things a ton easier. Be careful of the door pulls though, that rear clip is very easy to break!

    Looks super !

Like others, had a little fun with the little spring. Take good note on how it is positionned on the other door if possible. Remove the door panels, a lot easier. Looks good and works just fine !!

EZ TO DO JUST FOLLOW THE STEPS.....

WORDS OF ADVICE...REOMOVE YOUR DOOR PANELS wasn't to bad to install....make sure you have a GOOD NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS...the spring was quite easy also ...helpful tip...the short side of the spring goes in the little recess area in the door handle, and if you forget the way it goes just look inside the coil and youll see wear marks from the pin on 1 side of spring..... REMEMBER....SHORT SIDE IN THE DOOR HANDLE LONG SIDE IN THE HANDLE BRACKET

    Very nice

I have yet to install them but these are some nice solid pieces. I'm having a hard time putting them down they are so nice. Hopefully I don't have the issue with the pins others have mentioned. If I do I'll be ready with a hardened steel nut and bolt used for rc. Will be powder coating mine to match the rest of my billet pieces. Can't wait

    looks great, and solid material

these Billet Aluminum door handles look great in the car and goes well with all my interior billet interior, the reason i got them was when ever i got passengers unfamiliar with mustangs they had a hard time finding the handles since the originals blend in with the car door, these handles are great solid material, and the billet color stands out for easy to find the door handle, installation was about an hour, the only issue i had were the door pins are hallow aluminum and after 2 weeks they both broke on drivers and passengers side making the handles loose, an easily solution is to buy 2 steel bolts with nuts the same lenght and thickness as the originals from the hardware store and problem solved, overall these door handles are well worth it

But like I sead I'm just being picky and bc of my job I notice things like that. I do love them tho.

    Pain in the Butt!

I love the way these door handles look but if I had known up front how much of a pain they would be to install I'm not sure if I would have bothered. The spring is the hard part, I found that if you tilt it slightly, put the pin though then straighten it up with a flat head screwdriver after its in it is much easier, but they look great once installed

    Sproing!

The reassembly of the door handle (spring) was by far, the most challenging part of this job, the spring was very difficult to figure out and it seems that a few photos and more detailed description of this portion could have saved me at least an hour of work/retrys.
