Reduce Body Flex. When your carving the corners the last thing you want to feel is chassis flex when you rev the engine. This SR Performance Strut Tower Brace is designed for both the GT and V6 Mustang to reduce that unwanted body flex. And is a must for all Mustang owners.

Quality Construction. The SR Performance Mustang Strut Tower Brace is made from super strong steel tubing to keep your front end from flexing from the torque of your motor and is finished with a classic black powdercoat finish for great looks and durability.

Simple Bolt-on Installation. This SR Performance Strut Tower Brace is a simple bolt-on that clears the factory intake manifold and is easily install with basic hand tools.

Application. The SR Performance Black Mustang Strut Tower Brace is designed to fit your 1994 to 2004 V6 or GT Mustang. It will not fit SVT Cobra's, Bullitts or Mach 1 Mustangs.

Hey everyone I’m Justin with and I’m taking a look at a very underrated part that will drastically improve your rides handling all while taking it easy on your wallet. I’m referring to the Strut Tower Braces available in black and chrome for all 94-04 Mustangs. Strut tower braces are great for a couple of different reasons, the first and most obvious plus is the fact that they reduce unwanted chasse flex which simply mean that your ride is going to handle a little better. A byproduct of the bar is it really adds to the under hood styling of your ride especially if you opt for the show worthy chrome finish here in front of me, or if you like to keep things sleek and under the radar in your hood then you might want to opt for our powder coated black finish shown behind me on our 98 GT. These bars are constructed from ultra-strong tubular steel which help keep the front end from flexing while the under load throughout turns. These bars also feature a mounting point on the firewall that really helps the front end to feel a lot more solid. So while these options may not be as flashy as our other strut bars, this brace is all business. This bar does require a small amount of work to get everything installed properly you will need to remove your windshield wipers and the upper cal panel just so you can access the bolts connecting this brace to the firewall. In addition to that you will need to drill into your strut towers as well. Well I know this sounds a little daunting, don’t worry, as long as you follow the detailed instructions on this page you should be all wrapped up in about 2 hours. Any knowledgeable car enthusiast will tell you that a good performance suspension is a sum of all its parts with that in mind will this bar help you turn over a g in the skid pad alone? Probably not, but it will tighten things up dramatically and it will look great under the hood while doing so.

  • yup! only have to drill the holes and no other modification needed EXCEPT cutting out apiece of plastic on your rear firewall area, super easy, Im a noob at cars and did it no problem, just keep calm take your time and itll be perfect

Will this fit in my mustang if I have a large JLT intake already installed? The intake tube is approximatley 4.5 inches


  • I measured the stock GT intake and it is about a 4" diameter. There is a 1/2" clearance for that intake. I believe your intake would be able to fit, considering the above., although it could be a bit tight. I'd take the chance. The tower bar does make a big difference in the handling, says a guy (me) who had it installed on a 4.6 GT convertible. Cowl shake's history.

On a 94 GT will it clear an after-market intake ? Installing performer rpm 2 intake. Have to buy another brace or re-fab mine


  • I installed the AM chrome intake under this brace. All I can say is that there's a clearance of about 1/2" more than the stock 4.6 L intake system to work with; hope this helps.

    02 GT

    I have a 2002 Mustang GT. The Strut tower brace was easy to install. Took about an hour and a half maybe a little less then that to install. It really helps the car handle better. With the strut brace installed you can tell that the car is stiffer. It makes cornering a lot easier at a little faster speeds.

    Great mod with a few flaws

    With this strut tower brace installed, you will notice a huge difference in the stiffness of your Mustang. The car feels so much more responsive in corners (especially convertibles) and handles like a dream! Drilled holes are necessary for installation so be sure to double check that the brace is directly in the center of the engine bay and close the hood to ensure clearance. Other than those potential issues, this strut tower brace is a must-have for any 94-04 V6 or GT!

    nice cheap mod

    i have an intake spacer installed in my v6, had trouble fitting the brace without hitting so i hacked it up and made it a nice 2 point brace. I have no regrets in buying this as it still looks good and it was cheap!

    perfect fit must-have!!!

    must have in combination with steeda rear tower brace, aluminum mishimoto radiator w/ custom brackets is a nice addition to this aswell. Makes your suspension stiffer when you slide or grip. must have

    Strut brace

    Tough to install, hard to line up. Broke the wiper cowl in 2 places. After all was done it was worth it.

    Strut Tower Brace

    This Brace will not fit a 98 V6 without bending the brace itself. The brace hits the top of the engine and does not even touch the mounting points by the shocks without having to be bent. So currently I have a $130 pience on metal siting in my garage that I can't use for anyting.

    GREAT handling upgrade!

    Install took about 2 hours (just because I spent way to much time planning on where to drill). Drilling can be a little bit scary and difficult if you dont have the right type of drill, but just take a deep breath and go for it everything turned out perfect! Handling increased DRAMATICALLY! I can really feel it going around turns and through roundabouts, PLUS it makes your engine bay look more aggressive, a MUST have for anyone that likes to go a little fast in their pony.

    Added parts

    Im pleased with the product. However there is a clearance issue with the throttle body for the v6. So if your planning on getting it you will need to buy spacers for the bolts.
