the quality is great and works perfectly. install was slow, but measure twice drill once. Paint the drill holes before mounting to stop rust later.

This purchase put me just over 5 grand of mods I've done to my '07 V6, and putting the hood supports on is one of my favorites. (although I say that with each mod I add) I was very tentative of the installation mainly because I don't like drilling holes in my car. But, if you follow the very detailed, colorful directions, you can't go wrong. As others have said, just follow the directions exactly as they're laid out, and you'll have no problems. I'm pushing 60 and have never shot a rivet in my life. That was somewhat scary to me, and still not sure how a rivet works, but it was cool at how secure it attached the hood brackets. I was really surprised to be honest. Rivets are something I've just never done in my 45 years of wrenching on cars. So I had to buy a decent hand rivet gun ($20 at HD) and it really did the trick. Popped those 4 rivets in with no problem. Be sure and have a vacuum handy to suck up the metal shavings when you drill. I also put a piece of cardboard underneath the hood when I drilled to keep the shavings from getting somewhere they didn't need to be. I also was concerned about the shock supports not being very stout when installed. But these things not only look good, but are very strong. You can feel it when you raise the hood. Just raise it about 1/3 way up, let go and watch it slowly rise. These supports are awesome and am so glad I put them on. Now I want to raise the hood ever chance I get. I've got about $500 worth of chrome under the hood now and these supports really add to the nice look. I couldn't wait to take the old prop off the car completely. It'd be like leaving training wheels on your bike after you learned to ride a two-wheeler. These don't add any horsepower, but believe me, you won't regret putting them on. Don't get in a hurry, follow the directions, and enjoy the new look. American Muscle is #1 for Mustang parts, bar none. And their lightning shipping is second to no one. Simply the best company to deal with when dressing out your Pony. I'm totally addicted to AM, and everytime I get a few dollars ahead, it goes straight to them. Thanks AM for being there.
