Nice but NOT easy
These looked great online and I was desperate to rid myself of that horrible hood brace from the factory. Glad to spend 100 bucks to clean up the engine compartment, especially for a direct bolt on that I could install in 30 min. However 30 min in to the installation I was ready to throw the in the garbage and put the old brace back on. Let me be fair, maybe I got a difficult or defective set, not sure but mine did not go on like the instructions would have me believe. The brackets go on easy enough but I would highly recommend help when its time to loosen the hood bolts, however the struts DO NOT simply pop on the brackets. After several failed attempts, two bloody knuckles and almost decapitating myself once ( help would have prevented this) I finally got smart and decided to remove the wires from the struts and put them on after slipping them on the brackets, spoiler alert, you cant do that on the top portion unless you can thread a needle blind since the hole faces away from you and goes up to a hole you cannot see. Took the upper bracket back off, put strut on, ran wire through holes and carefully installed upper bracket with the strut already on so as not to chip any paint. then slipped lower portion on and ran wire through the holes since I could actually see them on the bottom( they face you). 1 1/2 hours later I had them on ( that included 30 min of carefully bending the wires back into shape since I bent them terribly trying to install them the way the instructions said to). Now that they are on, the look good and seem to function fine, its MUCH better than stock,
Could have used better instructions and the bottom brackets do not sit straight, not sure if that's intended or not.
