How to Install RTR Rear Spoiler on your Mustang

Kit Components:

1 - RTR Rear Spoiler
1 - Drill Template

Step 1:

Open the trunk and remove the (2) rubber grommets. 


Step 2:

Close the trunk and align the supplied template with the front and sides of the deck lid. 


Step 3:

Using the aligned template, mark and drill 1/8" pilot holes. Finish with a 3/8".


Step 4:

Remove the template and blow off any metal shavings, careful not to scratch the paint. **Note: Apply touch-up paint to any exposed metal to prevent any future oxidation.


Step 5:

Wipe the tape surfaces on the deck lid panel with the provided alcohol wipes. Then test fit the spoiler to confirm fitment.


Step 6:

Remove the tape backing and apply the supplied adhesion promoter. Allow time for the adhesion promoter to flash dry. 


Step 7

Place the spoiler on the car. Apply firm even pressure to the tape surfaces to ensure proper adhesion. Tighten the supplied nuts to 41 lb-in. Re-install the (2) rubber grommets removed in step 1.
