Description

Ultimate Performance. If you have a high powered forced induction setup on your GT, Cobra, or Mach 1 and need a clutch that can take the heat while still having good street manners, the SPEC Stage 3+ is the blend of performance and driveability you need for your 'Stang. The Stage 3+ combines the type of compound used in the Stage 3 Clutch to deliver a clutch capable of handling up to 850 ft-lb of torque, but a full-faced disc design means there is less of the "on-off" feel associated with true race-only clutches.



Street and Strip. The SPEC Stage 3+ Clutches are designed to be the perfect clutch for a high powered street or race car. Unlike other pure "race type" clutches, the pedal feel of the 3+ is still worthy of the strip, but not so unforgiving as a "puck style". Combining elements of a race clutch with a street clutch means a Stage 3+ will hold up to many passes on the strip while still letting you drive your Pony to and from the track.



Premium Quality. The sprung hub, full face design of the SPEC Stage 3+ features a carbon semi-metallic friction material for unsurpassed bite and long clutch life. The Stage 3+ Clutch includes the high clamp pressure plate, the full face friction disc, a new throwout bearing and an alignment tool.

    The clutch grabs fine but when starting out in first you have to give it more than usual pedal or the whole car shakes bad not happy about that one but I'll deal with it I guess better off spending the money on the centerforce :)

    Spec stage 3+ clutch.

    The total install time was about an hour and 10 minutes from the time the car was put on the lift. I run this clutch in one of my other Mustangs and it hooks like a monster. Install time will vary if you have long tube headers. Mine were already taken off prior to the install so it made things a lot easier. The clutch will hold up on high performance mustangs. My current rating is 700RWHP with a 100 shot and it holds up just fine.

    WTF DAMMMM A BEAST

    GOT IT WITH THE FLYWEEL STEEL NICE LOOKING ...THATS NOT WHAT I LOOK FOR LOOKS HELL NO THE USE WOW THE BREAK IN TIME WAS ABOUT 400 MILES THE CLUCH FELT FUNNY KICKING IN AT THE VERY TOP OF THE PEDAL ..THEN ONE DAY WHILE PARKING BUUM IT WENT AS IF THE LINE BROKE BUT THAT WASNT IT IT WAS PULLING TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE ON THE CABLE TO THE CLUCH AND PLATE ..ANYWAY SINCE THEN IT WAS GETTING STRONGE THE LONG MOVE WHERE THE PEDAL WAS KICKING IN WAS GONE AND THE CLUTCH FELT LIKE TOP AND GEAR IN TOP AND GEAR OF ..LOVE THE FEELING OF POWER SHIFTING ..ANYWAY GOT TO RACE WITH THE CHARGER R/T I HAHA I WAS SEATING IN 1ST GEAR BURNING RUBBER WASETING TIME AT START LINE ALL THAT WASTE AND STILL TOOK THE DRIVER NO BROBLEM PEELING ON 1 ST 2 ND AND THE 3RD SHIFT I THINK BROKE MY NECK DAMM I LOVE THIS CLUCH ..THEN AGAIN RACED WITH CHARGER SRT 8 no joke top speed he was a head but traffic stopped me i dont want to kill people he did ...my 1/4 mile i took him as if his car was v6 haha hemi get a life ...al for all this clutch is not a toy respect it and all the forums i looked at all full of it ..spec is great clutch it the way it has been installed and by whom ..i used center force in vette killed it in 4 months got xtd clutch in 1995 v6 pony its on now with different driver and it goes had act it took some time to kill it so its how you get it install and howw you break it in all of these clutches will go one day point is what makes it go longer ..what material they are made of this spec stage 3 + is semi metelic so you tell me which one i dont go by he said she said i go of whats it made off ...now pushing 528rhp this thing is like give me more ...love it feels great and makes the pony go hahahahahaha

    Spec 3+ in 04 Cobra

    Good clutch and pretty simple install. I havn't gotten my 500 miles on it yet so have not been able to really test its strength. I'd say that it feels very close to the original clutch except it does have a small amount of chatter. Overall this is a good product and I would reccomend it.

    Spec made a very nice product that was easy and straight forward to install. The clutch grabs good and holds very well. I would recommend this to anyone that has the HP for a stage 3+
