Street Or Strip. The McLeod Super Street Pro Clutch is perfect for aggressive street driving and occasional drag strip use. Able to hold up to 500hp the Super Street Pro Clutch is ideal for high performance Mustangs that need a good reliable street clutch.

Organic and Ceramic Disc. Featuring a dual-faced organic and ceramic friction disc; this McLeod Super Street Pro Clutch provides a slightly heavier pedal effort than stock with excellent holding capability making it the perfect performance upgrade for the street and strip.

Application. This McLeod Super Street Pro Clutch is designed for the Late 2001-2004 GT; 1999-2004 SVT Cobra; 2001 Bullitt; and 2003-2004 Mach 1 with the T-45, TR-3650, or T-56 transmission that have upgraded to a 26 spline input shaft.

Recommended flywheel with this clutch? Im thinking about purchasing this clutch kit. My mechanic feels the flywheel may need replacement as well. What is the recommended flywheel to go with this clutch? Also, is the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel the total assembly or do i need to purchase anything else?

  • When you replace the clutch and the flywheel, it is always best to go with products from the same company. Since you are looking at purchasing the McLeod Super Street Pro Clutch - Upgraded 26 Spline (Late 01-04 GT, Mach 1; 99-04 Cobra) the flywheel that I would choose would be the McLeod Racing Chromoly Steel Flywheel - 6 Bolt (96-98, Late 01-10 GT) item #386656 (www.americanmuscle.com/mcleod-chromoly-flywheel-6bolt.html) since they are both made by McLeod. Also, a completed kit would consist of the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate to complete the install.

    Great Clutch

    After I bought my Mustang the clutch went out and it was equipped with a Spec clutch. I went with McLeod because a friend recommended them. I'm glad I went with this clutch it has held up to my car since I installed it about a year ago. My Mustang put down 339hp to the wheels so this clutch is great to handle the power and can handle more. The pedal feel is firm but not too heavy. It grabs as soon as you inch off the clutch pedal. I also bought the McLeod flywheel and it is holding up just fine. Overall I would recommend this clutch.

    My first McLeod

    So far so good, I've never had a McLeod before but I am excited to put this to the test on my 03 cobra. I matched this clutch up with a ford racing aluminum flywheel and everything fit perfect. I got as far as bolting it on the block but ran into an issue with the throwout bearing it came with it did not fit into the new bearing sleeve, my spec bearing I had before slides in smooth, not saying that I was happy with my spec kit, must of been packaged wrong it was definatelly not for a t56. Waiting for a replacement. Ill review the break in after i get it back on the road. I'll give it 3 stars for now

    Great piece

    I have to say that this clutch setup is a straightforward install. I believe if you can take a transmission out of a car, then you can change this. Only thing I would like to see is to label the flywheel side of the clutch disc. it actually bites great thus far. I have about 200 miles on it and it is fun to drive.

    Awesome

    This clutch is perfect if you aren't pushing loads of power. I paired it with a fidanza aluminum flywheel. It's grabs hard and doesn't chatter much. If you're thinking about a new clutch with the stock eaton or even ported with a smaller pulley this is a great application.
