      Description

      High Performance Upgrade. The RAM Powergrip Clutch is the perfect choice for a modified, dual use street and strip 'Stang, balancing both the ability to hold up to 550 HP while still being drivable on the street. By adding a Powergrip clutch to your Pony, you'll still be able to take your Pony out of the stable and onto the street, while getting the holding power you need to grip n' rip on the strip.

      Does Dual Duty. If you need a clutch that can stand up to the heat of the dragstrip, the RAM Powergrip Clutch will give you quick, precise engagement and fast shifts. But unlike other race-use only clutches, the Powergrip clutch balances your need for the engagement characteristics of aggressive, Stage 2 and 3 clutches with a more forgiving street-type clutch. Please note that some chatter may occur on takeoff.

      Combines 900 and 300 Series Discs. In order to provide superior holding power without sacrificing street manners, RAM Powergrip clutches use a high clamp load and a unique combination of their 900 and 300 series organic materials for the disc.

      Application. This RAM Powergrip Mustang Clutch is designed for the Late 2001-2004 GT, 1999-2004 Cobra, 2001 Bullitt, and 2003-2004 Mach 1 with the T-45, TR-3650, or T-56 transmission with a 10 spline input shaft.

        Best clutch ever

        Best clutch ever! Smooth engagements feels just one issue even thou you get an firewall adjuster and quadrant the stock cable will be a bit short might have to get 03-04 cobra short pivot ball to accommodate the 3/4” the fork needs to be at stock angle or a triple hook upr quadrant so you dont over pull the cable and snap it after 2000miles... dont ask me how i know

        Amazing grip, perfect pedal effort, HEAVY DUTY

        10/10, grips like no other z way better than the HDX,, which I'm currently running (HDX Helix hub) which is an amazing clutch in and of itself but the powergrip is on the next level. Bolt on 04 Mach 1 handles power AMAZINGLY, perfect grip a no slip and no overheating when slipped, just performance! ★★★★★out of ★★★★★

        new clutch

        The powergrip clutch is a big improvement from the spec 2, the pedal is a lot softer with a ton more grip , where as the spec 2 the pedal was a lot more stiff, it definitely is going to take same getting used to and I have at least 500 break in miles to do just that.

        Ram clutch

        I purchased a ram clutch from american muscle it took me about an hour to install it was a easy bolt up to do. Overall I am very satisfied with what I have purchased it grips very hard no that I have this one in my car.

        Great clutch

        All around great clutch. No complaints whatsoever.. It's feel is as good or smoother than stock. I had a Spec Stage 2 and it got to where it was like leg pressing everytime I drove the car and getting a leg workout!! This has been the best after market clutch I've ever owned. AM helped me find the perfect clutch based on my needs and driving style...delivery was fast and I am completely satisfied.Thanks AM..!!

        Good Stage 2 Clutch

        This is my 3rd clutch in my 01 stang, and I'd have to say this is my favorite. Pedal effort is way less than my previous Spec Clutch. Grips Hard, So Far the Trow out bearing has taken my beating. Only bad is the kit does not come with a pilot bearing. Luckly Ford Racing Pilot Bearing Is cheap. ***** Star Product!!

        just installed in the vehicle, still breaking in, but grabs a lot quicker and harder than a stage 1. would highly recommend this to anyone.

      Is this an OEM style or stage 1,2 or? I have a daily driver with a short commute and don’t need or want strengthen my leg.

      • This is a stage 2 clutch.

      Is the throwout baring included a ford oem part? and does this kit include a pilot baring, or do I even need one?

      • The RAM Powergrip Clutch does come with a throwout bearing, but it does not come with a pilot bearing. Both are indeed necessary for installation.
