  • Improves handling
  • Quicker, crisper steering response
  • For lowered 'Stangs
  • Set of 4 polyurethane bushings
  • Fits 1985-2004 Mustangs
Description

Offset Design. If you have a lowered 1985 to 2004 Mustang, a set of offset polyurethane bushings will raise your steering rack to correct your front suspension geometry and reduce bumpsteer.

Improves Handling. By reducing steering rack deflection, polyurethane bushings deliver quicker, crisper steering response and better control over your Mustang for better overall handling.

Polyurethane Construction. Unlike your worn-out factory rubber bushings which create a "sloppy" feel, polyurethane bushings will tighten up your steering column so your handling feels sharper and more exact.

Application. This set of 4 bushings is designed for all lowered 1985-2004 Mustangs.

Q & A (1 Questions, 2 Answers) Ask a Question

Is there a need for the Steeda bumpsteer kit if you have these bushings? The description of the bushing sounds like it reduces but does not eliminate bumpsteer. Will the adjustable Steeda kit (http://www.americanmuscle.com/stbukit94b.html) improve this or eliminate it altogether? Are both a good idea? Thanks.

  • No, and Steeda states not to use this with a bump steer kit. One or the other. :)

    not too shabby

    August 12, 2012

My car is lowered on h&r supersports. I began to hate driving my mustang because of the odd way the wheel would jump around in my hands. But these Tightened my front end up rather nicely, I'm not fighting my steering wheel too much anymore. Car still follows the ruts in the road, but hey. Better than it was before these! Great product, fast shipping, nice price. Thanks AM!!!

    1985-2004 Offset Steering Rack Bushings

    May 23, 2010

The 1985-2004 Offset Steering Rack Bushings will relocate your rack maybe a half inch. This could help with bump steer. They are hard polyurethane. The rack shifting could be possible side effect. I scuffed up the rack and bushing then added loc-tite red. No issue yet. I suggest Synthetic Silicone Grease on the inner part of the bushing to prevent squeaks. The product came fast and is as advertised.

should have gotten these a long time ago. they do exactly what they are supposed to. they corrected the alignment for the steering wrack and made the steering more responsive.

    Very stiff material.

    April 01, 2013

These are a lot stiffer than the stock bushings. Therefore there should be minimal movement on the rack increasing handling. Only downside is that they are a little difficult to install, just because they have no give. Just be patient and they will go on.

    improved steering and alignment

    April 29, 2012

Awesome product got the part super quick. I looked at a lot of reviews about lowering my stang. This is a must have to get proper alignment. Works great I had them installed when I got my alignment. Told the shop to use loctite (red) to keep the bushings from moving under tight cornering. I've had them in for 3 months no problems whatsoever. Definitely feel a difference in handling. The old ones where all worn out. Little things like this keep the big things working how there suppose to. Thanks AM.

Great buy when lowering your stang

    August 05, 2012

Bushings seemed to be made of quality materials. They raise your steering rack about a half inch. I installed these along with H&R SS springs and i have not noticed and bumpsteer problems. I noticed slightly better steering response in corners. My assessments were made at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
