Ideal Upgrade. If you are planning on a forced induction setup or already have one in your GT or Cobra, it will only take a few launches before you'll roast your stock clutch. Or maybe you're just tired of the slow shifts, and have decided it's time for a better one. A SPEC Stage 2 Clutch will handle up to 520 ft-lbs of torque without the "on-off" feel of true race clutches, blending driveability and the ability to hold lots of power perfectly.

Perfect for Weekend Warriors. The SPEC Stage 2 Clutches are designed for all mild to moderately modified naturally aspirated and power added engines, but can be used with stock power levels without sacrificing driveability or excessive wear characteristics. They are the perfect balance of driveability and durability that makes them a great choice for Mustangs that see a lot of time on the street as well as the strip and track.

Premium Quality. The SPEC Stage 2 Clutch combines superior holding power with the driveability you want by using premium materials. Each Stage 2 Clutch includes a high clamp pressure plate, pure Kevlar friction material and high torque sprung hub and disc assembly. Like with all SPEC Clutches, an alignment tool is included for easy installation.

    My 2006 SC Saleen Mustang

    With only 19890 miles, my 2006 SC Saleen Mustang is in tip top shape. Running 1120's in a Quarter Mile, about 122 miles hr. Kooks long tube headers, high flow cats, GT500 dual fuel pumps, 39lbs injectors and smaller supercharger pulley, making 13lbs of boost.

    Great clutch

    I recently purchased this clutch (again) to replace my Spec Stage 2 clutch that was installed wrong and burnt up my flywheel. Stupid shop. I won't be going there again. I love the clutch, especially now that it has been installed correctly. It bites hard and it isn't too heavy. Although I'm quite disappointed that the bolts were not included in the package. It comes with clutch plate, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing. That's it. Shop charged me for the bolts. Not a huge expense, but for the price, it should really come with them.

    great product

    awesome improvement over stock. when you clutch goes definitely a must get. pedal feel is much firmer, with quicker engagements.

    Great Upgrade!

    I got this clutch kit because my stock clutch was starting to slip and the throwout bearing was shot in my '97 Cobra. I saw that a new bearing comes with the kit so I decided to upgrade. I am VERY happy with the new clutch. I noticed right away the better grip it has off the line. The only performance mods I have are this clutch and a Bama Tuner and my car already feels faster with the new clutch. People are saying that it's stiff and it is a little bit, but my stock clutch was stiffer so this upgrade was ideal. If your clutch is starting to slip, or go bad, I definitely recommend this product!

    Terrible Clutch

    This stage 2 clutch only lasted me 5k miles before it went. I'm not the only one many ppl have had similar problems with even less mileage. Look up the reviews and you'll see what I mean. My stage 1 lasted me 10k miles before it gave out if that tells you something. Stage 2 is only good for stock replacement because the kevlar wears out very fast especially when power shifting(had couple clutch chops tell me this while looking for a new clutch). Then when I called spec to see what the warranty covers, as soon as they picked up the phone they were rude. Then they wanted to me send them my clutch and flywheel to see whats wrong then 90% chance it wont be warrantied they said. I'll never buy another spec clutch on customer relations alone.

    Great clutch!

    I installed the Spec Stage 2 clutch on my GT that is pushing 412 hp to wheels. This product has no slippage and grabs very aggressively, all while being easy on the leg. It has the feeling of a race clutch without the hassle while driving in the city. The Spec clutch was a replacement for another aftermarket clutch that only lasted about 300 miles. Don't mess around folks, Spec is the way to go!

    Built 99 mustang gt

    I was hesitant on which clutch would suit my cars power and driving around town, I was worried about it being to stiff and hard to get use to BUT it's Great I Love It! There's NO Whine like ppl say with the clutch or the throw-out bearing so far, I have a little over 200miles on it now, it's a Gripper no need to give it gas cause it's gonna pull You all on it's on, Great Purchase once again from American Muscle!! I recommend this product with the Spec Steel Flywheel.

    Stage 2 Spec Clutch

    This is a good clutch all around. Your clutch pedal will be stiff, but less face it, all mustang have stiff clutches. Even my 04 GT with 97,000 miles on it has a stiff factory clutch.

    Stage 2 Spec Clutch

    I have had this clutch in my daily driver for over a year and a half. It has been a good clutch to drive around town and take to the track. The clutch pedal is stiff. If you do not like a stiff pedal, then this may not be for you.

    Spec Stage 2 Clutch

    I've had this clutch installed for 3 days now and feels great! Grips well, pedal feels softer with the Steeda clutch cable kit. Chatters a little but I'm still in the break-in period. Overall I would recommend this clutch
