I have these on my 96' cobra, the car is lower about a 1/2 inch when fully deflated, but when you pump it up your rear end is very high, but its amazing difference when launching. My 0-60 dropped two

Could I use these springs for everyday driving? Im looking to buy springs that could be used on the strip, and also on the street for everyday driving i'm curious if these are it. If so then i'll buy these.

  • You can use them, but the real question is should you? If for example you frequently go to the strip and your car is otherwise stock they would work pretty well on the track. If you are more concerned about your vehicles stance as it appears on the street and hardly make it to the track, maybe not. Think fractional improvements in ET's. Maybe a 1/8 of a second or so, maybe a 1/4 second if you are very lucky and have a quick car with decent mods under the hood. If you want to be a semi serious racer I'd start under the hood & see how far you take that first.

what is the point of the air bag, and how does it work exactly?

  • If you watch a high horsepower car with little chassis stiffening launch, you can often see the left front tire lift off the ground. This twisting is caused by the torque applied from the motor and is mirrored in the rear suspension except with the right rear tire being lifted. The air bag is there to increase the "spring" stiffness on the right side to plant that tire for better traction.

These springs are AWESOME. I put these on my pro charged 04 GT and they were well worth the money. Your car will not be lowered after putting these on, but your launches will be amazing. I bought this kit because I care about straight line performance (drag) not about looks. Installing the front springs was a pain, but the rear springs were very easy to put on. Very good product.

    wow

    February 09, 2011

i was shocked how well these made the car launch. for a set of drag springs they handled better than i thought it would but you will not be taking exit ramps with a vette. if you want to drop 60 foot times and dont want to do a full suspension you cant beat it.

    Traction

    March 03, 2012

Drives like a diffrent car, well worth the money. My car use to be able to spin the tires for about 15 feet from a launch on the street but now it just hooks. Rides very rough but if you have alot of horse power these will help you hook up
