SportTech Springs have been thoroughly tested and inspected for superior strength and reliability, all while providing optimal performance and comfort, making these the perfect springs for daily driving and occasional track use.

Aggressive Stance. Custom wound from high-tensile steel, ST Suspensions SportTech Lowering Springs will not only improve the handling of your Pony, but they also improve the overall appearance by lowering the ride height approximately 1.0" in the front and 1.0" in the rear, eliminating that nasty raised 4x4 truck look for a more aggressive muscle car stance.

Recommended Upgrade. When installing new springs, you should also replace your old worn out rubber spring isolators with a new set of Polyurethane Spring Isolators, see options above.

        Suspension technics springs

I have a convertible and they lowered the car at just the right height. I didn't want a slammed ride. The springs with the isos are perfect. The ride is stiffer and they feel much tighter than stock. Got rid of that brake drive that would drive me crazy. Teamed up the springs with my old bilstien struts and they are perfect.

        Lowering Mustang GT

I purchased the ST Suspension SportTech Lowering Springs to lower my mustang 1 inch. My car seemed to be sitting high in the front and I wanted to get a more cleaner look. I also want to upgrade to 18" wheels in the near future. I think my car will look great with the combo of the lowering springs and the new 18" wheels.

        4 2004 V6 - Nick Installation Time: Shop Install Installation Cost: $100-$250

        Awesome handling!!!

I bought these springs because they were out of stock on the steeda springs. I paid more for the Sport Tech progressive springs. I had a shop install them and estimated 4 hour install time. I immediately felt improve handling. I have a 2004 V6 Mustang looking for for a 1-1.5 " drop. It only dropped the suspension about 0.5". The shop that installed it said it takes a few weeks to settle and will drop another 0.5" for a total of a 1". Disappointed about the appearance look (not enough drop yet). I'm impressed with the handling in the corners. I also purchased and later installed sway bars, camber casters and front and rear strut tower braces. It's like a brand new ride!!! I recommend for those looking for a stiffer suspension and improved handling. If your looking for dramatic drop, you might want to consider another option.

      5 Top Rated Questions

I recently installed 19" rims, the front tire is a 245/35R19 and the rear is a 255/45R19. The description said "These lowering springs were engineered to be compatible with your stock size wheels and tires, to assure proper clearance with no rubbing issues" will my rim and tire sizes be ok with these springs?

      • l would not anticipate rubbing issues with your setup.

These springs say 1 inch drop front and rear, but all other springs drop the different body styles differently. Is it possible that these springs drop all 79-04 mustangs 1 inch?

      • it is stated that it drops them about 1 inch all around and it really does do about an inch for 79-04 mustangs, I have a friend that has an 86 gt and he got an exact one inch drop, and another guy I know has an 04 gt that got about 1.1 on all 4 corners.

One of the previous questions asked what are the spring rates, i think they meant what are the Lbs/in numbers, what are the Lbs/in spring rate numbers for these springs front and rear?

      What are the spring rates?

      • These springs will have a progressive spring rate.

Hi, I have a 2004 Mustang GT Convertible I have already bought my 17 x 9 and 17 x 10.5 2013 GT500 Style Deep Dish Anthracite Wheel - (94-04 All). I was wondering if I lower my car with these lowering springs, what is the widest tires I can run? I wanted to run 275/40 in the front and 315/35 in the rear. Are these too wide? I can go down to 255/40s front but I want to stay with the 315/35s in the rear

      • You should be fine running these springs with a 255/40-17 in the front. Though, you may come into some issues running a 275/40-17 in the front. The front wheels have to turn. A bigger tire and an inch lower could cause for some rubbing on the wheel wells. As for the rear, you may be able to have a 315/35-17 fit but there is a high chance of it rubbing on the fender.
