Lower Elapsed Times. Eibach Drag-Launch Springs are precision engineered to provide maximum traction to the drive wheels for improved weight transfer and to control axle torque. The results are lower 1/4-mile Elapsed Times (ET´s).

Recommended Upgrade. When installing new springs you should also replace your old worn out rubber Spring Isolators with a new set of Polyurethane Spring Isolators, see drop down option above.

Clears Stock and Aftermarket Wheels & Tires. These lowering springs were engineered to be compatible with your stock size wheels and tires, as well as AmericanMuscle's pre-configured wheel and tire combo kits (specific to your generation), to assure proper clearance with no rubbing issues.

Application. This set of four Eibach Drag-Launch Springs are specifically designed for use on the 1979 to 2004 V8 Mustang coupes, including the 5.0 LX, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1 and 1993-1998 Cobra models. Does not fit 1999-2004 SVT Cobras with independent rear suspension (IRS).

what is the point of the air bag, and how does it work exactly?

        • If you watch a high horsepower car with little chassis stiffening launch, you can often see the left front tire lift off the ground. This twisting is caused by the torque applied from the motor and is mirrored in the rear suspension except with the right rear tire being lifted. The air bag is there to increase the "spring" stiffness on the right side to plant that tire for better traction.

Can I use these with coilovers

        • These would not be compatible with coilovers.

I have 18 inch rims with 305's and I'm going to put 315's on them since I need new tires and was wondering if they would rub at all or not with these springs on. Also these springs don't lower your car at all it just stays the same height pretty much or am I confused by that?

        • The Eibach Drag-Launch Springs will maintain a close to stock ride height. We are unable to determine if a wheel/tire combo would clear without knowing the year and model of your Mustang as well as the width and offset of your wheels.

I have eibach coilover kit and tubular control arms without the spring perch on the front of my fox body, will the front springs work on the coilover kit? Or am I basically buying the kit for the rears?

        • You would be unable to use the front springs from the Eibach Drag-Launch Springs in a coil over kit as the coil over springs will need to be a significantly smaller diameter.

Long install (northern car) but GREAT results!

(2000 mustan gt convertible. 4.6 2V full bolt on and 125shot zex wet kit. ) I was running 13.4s, 13.7s, 13.8s last week. With a 2.0 to 2.2 60ft I ordered these along with the SR rear control arm package. I also bought brand new M/T 315/40/17s. I went to the track today and dropped my overal 1/4 mike ones down by over a hole second! Today I ran a 12.3, 12.4 and my gf ran 12.5 60fts where in the range from 1.7-1.8 The car DEAD HOOKS now even with spraying the 125 shot off the line! I highly recommend this product and would encourage combining it with a set of controls arms and some good tires. I couldn’t afford the shocks, so I kept the original shot shocks on. The front springs where significantly taller then the stock ones. Control arms where almost pointed straight down. Regular spring compressor was not fitting for me. I highly do not recommend this but we ended up using two ratchet straps to compress the front springs to get them in place. The right rear sling is ectreamly stiff and difficult to get in as well as the hole car jacks up while trying to raise the control arm into place. I recommend having an extra set of hands.,

            Eibach Drag Springs

The springs work great! Install took about 5 hours, however if you have the right spring compressor the job might be quicker. It requires 3 jacks, so keep that in mind. Not only do the springs look and work great, they drive amazing, better than stock, in my oppinion.

2 weeks and 3 phone calls later I still don’t know how these springs will do because I still can’t get the other parts I ordered with these shipped to me. Take your time, AM. I didn’t have intentions of using these parts when I ordered them -__-

i was shocked how well these made the car launch. for a set of drag springs they handled better than i thought it would but you will not be taking exit ramps with a vette. if you want to drop 60 foot times and dont want to do a full suspension you cant beat it.

            if u care about launching!

I have these on my 96' cobra, the car is lower about a 1/2 inch when fully deflated, but when you pump it up your rear end is very high, but its amazing difference when launching. My 0-60 dropped two tenths.

            Must Get This!!

These springs are AWESOME. I put these on my pro charged 04 GT and they were well worth the money. Your car will not be lowered after putting these on, but your launches will be amazing. I bought this kit because I care about straight line performance (drag) not about looks. Installing the front springs was a pain, but the rear springs were very easy to put on. Very good product.
