Improves Handling. Eibach developed their Pro-Damper shocks and struts to complement their Pro-Kit and Sportline springs, taking full advantage of the increased spring rate and lower center of gravity. The end result is an improvement in handling and performance, with a controlled compliant Ride.

Precision Tuning. Eibach engineers precision tune the Pro-Damper shocks damping characteristics to achieve maximum performance, without unnecessary stiffness or ride harshness for use with the Pro-Kit and Sportline springs. Eibach Pro-Damper Shock Absorbers are truly the pinnacle of shock absorber technology.

3 Steps to Performance. The Pro-Damper Shock Absorbers are an essential part of Eibachs Three Step's to improve your Mustangs performance and handling. Step One - Pro-Kit or Sport-Line Springs. Step Two - Pro-Damper Shock Absorbers. And Step Three Anti-Roll Kit. When combined all together your Pony will achieve Super Street Performance without sacrificing ride quality.

how do you know if you need struts and shocks i have a 2005 gt with 73k on them can i just change the springs and cushion and caster adjuster with sway bars and lower control arms thanks

  • You can, but your ride will not be very good. I highly recommend getting struts/shocks. Your stock struts/shocks are designed for the the stock springs, your ride will feel terrible without matching up new springs with new struts/shocks. You will need caster camber plates as well, and I suggest getting panhard bar. I personally did those and the lower and upper control arms and the Stang feels like dream. Corners are smooth and precise now.

non Eibach springs i have H & R super sport springs, will i have any problems matching the two brands during install?

Answer This Question I need this answered (0) (0)

would these struts and shocks be compatible with sr lowering springs and j&m caster plates? compatibility with other products

  • Although Eibach would certainly recommend their own springs to go with these items, your SR springs should be just fine. Considering these were built so you could use factory springs, if you liked, I can see no problem mixing them with the SR units or caster plates you already have. Give a good review after installing them, as I'm sure others would like to hear your thoughts!

Would i need to buy new camber plates as well?

  • It is not necessary to buy camber plates with the installation of the Eibach Pro-Damper Shock & Struts (05-10 All) Camber plates are only necessary if you are lowering your Mustang.

Do these work with stock springs ?

  • The Eibach Pro-Damper Shock & Struts (05-10 All) will work with stock springs. But it is recommended that while you have this section of the suspension taken apart, you upgrade your springs as well.

    Eibach Pro-Damper Shock & Struts (05-10)

These are a great product from a great company. I have had Eibach lowering springs on three of my previous Mustangs, but this is the first time I have added their Pro-Damper shocks and struts. After lowering my 2007 GT/CS convertible with the Eibach Pro-Kit springs, and riding with the factory shocks and struts, I wanted to see if adding the Eibach dampers would improve the ride quality. Alll I can say is "man, what a difference!" Installing these shocks and struts is the perfect compliment to the Eibach Pro-Kit springs. Plus, I was able to catch them on sale at American Muscle, so to say that my money was well spent would be an understatement. Great quality at a great price equals awesome value! I would highly recommend the Eibach Pro-Kit Dampers. With the Eiback Pro-Kit lowering springs, you car will handle like a dream, have the perfect stance, and the ride quality is still pretty decent for a lowered car. However, the ride will be noticably more harsh than stock. But if you wanted comfort, you would have bought a Crown Vic, right?

    Great improvement over stock

I got theses shocks to replace the stock ones that had went bad. The ride improvement was dramatic, but that is to be expected what really impressed me was the handling. It really complements the Eibach springs which i have had for a while now.

    Squeaky after only 5 months

I had these installed with Pro System Package (springs, shocks struts), and while they fit fine and improved handling performance, they began squeaking after only 5 months. Within a couple more months the squeaking was so loud I started replacing rear end suspension parts because I thought they were causing it, and it was probably due for some new suspension parts anyway. After replacing the sway bar, upper control arm, lower control arms, and Panhard bar, the squeaking continued. I finally tried spraying a large quantity of white lithium grease up into the shock boot/cover of each shock. That did it... The squeaking stopped. It was my new Eibach Shocks that were squeaking. The last item I figured to be the cause. I hoped the grease might keep it away, but the squeaking is back after only a couple weeks. I don't blame American Muscle, they are just a distributor and a great one at that, but I advise you to stay away from Eibach shocks. Unfortunately I need to buy new shocks already because Eibach requires you make a claim and then send them in to have them evaluated (which I'm going to do), but I have to pay for shipping and labor (again) as their warrantee does not cover any of that. Plus I have to pay for new shocks to replace them during this lengthy process. What a pain.

    Definite Bang for Your Buck

I did a 1.5" drop for springs and bought the dampers. Impressive change in performance from the factory springs and shocks. I could tell immediately getting into the car the difference in ride height and taking corners there is little to no body roll pending on the turn. Going over small bumps in the road, the car doesn't bounce for as long and the back sway has been minimized. Just watch out for speed bumps, I'm starting to feel the chassis bottom out on occasion. Overall though, it's a definite for anyone looking to upgrade from stock.

These work amazingly if you have your stang lowered, I went a few months with stock shocks and struts and couldn't take it anymore, besides the increased comfort my car handles much better!

    Worst Shocks Ever!

These are the worst shocks ever they did not even last me 3 months everything was fine and after a couple of bumps on the road not even potholes the shocks were literally done its very poor quality along with everything else on this site. I would not recommend these at all you will be wasting your money.

    Improved ride and cornering

Broke my OEM strut on my first track day. Ordered the Eibach's and couldn't be more pleased. Kept my ride quality and improved cornering, plus have survived several more track days. Get the spring compressors at O'Reilly for free (tool loaner program). With an impact wrench, install only took a few hours.

    much better than stock.shocks but...

Had a shop install the kit along with the camber bolts. The previous owner had Eibach sport sprjng installed and the ride was pure junk. The damping was totally inadequate and bottomed out frequently. The shocks did make a big difference in ride quality and handling but still feels a bit under damped for the Eibach sport springs. Kinda makes me think I should have gone for the adjustable Tokicos instead. They are however a good buy for the money and AM is always a cut above! I will buy from AM again...and sooner then later. great handling

These made a major improvement over the stock ones, I got them installed and the next day the wife and I went to Nc to visit her folks, ride was excellent, handled the mountain hills and curves with ease, taking 25mph curves at 45 like it was cake, there is slight noise of compression I hear, but I think that's cause they ain't broken in yet. Great product!

    Eibach Shocks and Struts

Based on customer comments, I believed the new shocks and struts would improve the "hard" ride and the metal sound coming from the rear wheels after I installed the lowering Eibach springs, lower control arms, and hard pan arm. Not much improvement for the $400 for parts and $250 install.

    Great Value.

These are perfect on my 06 GT. I didn't wanna break the bank but wanted a smoother ride and these did just that. I can't comment on the handling improvement yet cause I'm waiting on an alignment but as far as price and ride quality I'd recommend them 100!

    great upgrade

Got these installed along with the eibach sport line lowering springs. It is a lot more stiffer when driving but realizing what I actually did to the car I can appreciate it. I love how it rides and how it looks definitely glad I stayed with the same brand. Eibach was definitely the right choice for me!

    Squeak, Squeak, SQUEAK!

As others have said, my rear shocks started squeaking within only a few months of use. I was able to send them in to Eibach and they covered them under warranty. Now my front left strut is making noise after about a year. I will most likely sell them after I get new ones from warranty and get Koni. Overall I'm disappointed with Eibach dampers. They make great springs and sway bars, but look elsewhere for shocks/struts.

    Horrible Squeaking rear only

These were great at first after only a few months, but the rears started squeaking real bad, I like another reviewer took apart the entire rear suspension and greased everything until I figured out it was indeed the shock itself. The fronts I have had no problems with so far. put the factory ones back on until I figure out what to do with them, I really don't think its worth sending them back I will replace with something else I guess

    Short time fix….

I purchased this product when I needed to replace my shocks and struts on my 06 GT. It had normal wear and tear on it and after replacing with the eibach brand it made the ride quality way better. But after only a little over a year my back struts have started squeaking something major. I see another person wrote a similar review stating his started after only 5 months. I don't think its a common problem but for $500 I want something to last over 2 years….

    All About The Nuts

I had this kit installed on my 07 GT500 along with Eibach's Pro Sport Line springs and I'll have to say it made a huge difference in the drivability along with outstanding handling. The only downside that I found after a couple of weeks driving is that the lock nuts for the struts have an inferior locking mechanism. So I took the car to my mechanic and he changed the locking nuts out with ones that had steel locking mechanisms. He informed me that nuts had backed off because the nylon(assumed locking mechanism) got to hot and lost its ability to hold. With that being said, I would still highly recommend this product.
