You do need two upper control arms right? Why is it sold by one only and not in a pair? The car does need two upper control arms right?

  • No, you only need one upper control arm. There are two lower control arms on the vehicle, but only one upper that attaches to the base of the car and then attaches to the top portion of the rear end.

    Huge bang for your buck!

I have a 2012 GT with mild mods (tune, CAI, etc) and it had a horrible issue with wheel hop. I installed J&M lower control arms and it made a mild difference. Probably improved the wheel hop problem by 25%. If you are anything like me, I get a kick out of sliding around a bit with the traction control off. Unless you are a cop. Then my foot slipped off the clutch, sir <smile>. Well, I decided to see how much difference the upper would make as I was afraid I was going to break an axle when it would wheel hop so bad. The change is absolutely amazing! I cannot say enough. It is a completely different car to drive. I didn't realize how much slop was back there until now. I can even tell when mildly leaving a stop light. Immediate movement forward without any time to snug up the rear end. And now, taking it through the gears on the way home, I basically slid all the way from 1st through 3rd. Absolutely NO wheel hop. Smooth as glass in a power slide and completely predictable. I should have done this months ago. I was warned it would add some noise in the rear end (a slight clunk and some gear noise). It's there, yes, but very mild. My Magnaflow mufflers pretty much cover up any sound there may be. Even then, it's worth it. I feel like I just bought a brand new car. I can't recommend this enough. Thanks America Muscle!

    Needs upgrade

I bought the Adjustable Upper Control Arm JPC#01307. The clicking comes from the bolt thread and the upper brace mounting. Solution - shorter bolt threads so the bolt thread does not touch the mounting bracket. Also a trick is to mark the shocks before intstall to get close to the 2.7 deg DS angle.

    JPC definitely brings an improvement

With a little time the improvement of installing this upper control arm made a huge difference. Definitely can feel it each time I shift. I installed this along with lower control arms to get a full benefit, but the craftsmanship and design alone can clearly be seen in this product. Be careful with the mounting bolts that hold the main housing as they could easily be stripped. There's a slight amount of noise during hard shifts, but you really have to be listening for it. If you have exhaust mods you'll barely notice. Overall, a great product, great price, you can't loose!

    ZERO wheel hop!

I had a massive problem with wheel hop. I installed lower control arms but it did little to alleviate the problem I had with the wheel hop. Went ahead and got this upper control arm and the wheel hop is completely gone. Thank you American Muscle.

I didn't believe it but the reviews were right!

definitely improved traction, the fact that its adjustable makes it much better since you can find the perfect angle to get the best traction possible. I still have street tires and i'm not even sure I need the radials I was saving for anymore.

    Wheel hop gone

Installed along with new lower control arms. Don't know which helped more, but the two together made a HUGE difference in my launches. Car feels amazing from a dead stop. If you are having issues with your launch this is for you!

    Great product

I installed the JPC UCA in about an hour it was fairly easy install, it took all of my wheel hop away. The only bad thing about the JPC it makes a lot of noise in the rear end. I have a 2014 GT that shouldn't be making a lot of noise, now if it was a race car that's something different.

    One step closer!

This was a straight forward mod. Follow the directions and you will have no problems. The rear axle feels more connected to the car. Better launches and less fishtailing. Because of this mod and lower rear control arms wheel hop has been eliminated. The only down side is that you hear more suspension noise. But who cares! I'm improving a muscle car not a Lincoln.
