      Description

      Stiffen up that 'Stang. The 1979 through 2004 Mustang was a beloved design not known for structural stiffness. With their sporty looks and affordable V8 power, these cars invited high-performance build-ups. That's when the weakness in the rear end of the Fox-body chassis became all-too apparent. The stock torque box and rear control-arm mounts can't take much power beyond stock. If you're building your Fox-body for performance, you need these BMR Upper & Lower Torque Box Reinforcement Braces. This bolt-on kit will stiffen up that rear end structure of the chassis, reducing upper and lower control arm deflection, and preventing the twisting and turning that can cause chassis damage in a high-powered Mustang. Turn your cruiser into a real crusher with help of BMR.

      Serious Construction. These BMR braces are laser-cut from heavy-gauge steel. They're CNC-machined for a precise fit. When attached to the rear torque box -- where the upper and lower control arms attach -- they seriously stiffen the chassis. This prevents the destructive deflection and twisting seen in so many YouTube dragstrip videos. These braces are great not only for straight-line dragstrip 'Stangs: They also help the chassis performance and durability of any performance Mustang.

      Basically Bolt-On. This BMR kit is essentially a bolt-on. All necessary hardware is included, with very little fabrication needed beyond drilling. For ultimate stiffness, they can be welded-in. The braces are shipped bare-metal with the expectation of possible welding. If you're not going to weld them, they should be spray-painted for rust prevention before install.

      Application. These BMR Upper & Lower Torque Box Reinforcement Braces are designed for use on 1979-2004 Mustangs.
