        J M upper control arm

This upper control arm hands down feels more sturdy and reliable than the thin stock one. Would definitely recommend for the price.

        Heavy Duty

Its a little pricey for a piece of steel, but it is super heavy duty! Way stronger than the factory bracket. Fit perfectly. I was changing the upper control arm so it just made sense to replace the wimpy factory stamped steel bracket.

        Big improvement compared to stock

Bought this upper control arm mount along with the J&M adjustable UCA. right out of the box could see the difference. did the install in my garage on jack stands. Do recommend like other have to lower the fuel tank to make removal and install easier. with the control arms upgraded together has firmer feel in the rear , wheel hop is gone on launches/take offs , tires feel more planted as they should feel.

A Big Step up in Stiffness/Strength

Installed the J&M upper control arm (UCA) mount while installing a suspension kit that included new lower control arms and adjustable UCA. Like other reviews have indicated, you will need to drop the fuel tank by a few inches so that the new thicker mount can slip in. I used two jacks to lower the tank on each side of the car padded with wood blocks to prevent damage to the tank. In comparing the stock UCA mount to the J&M you will notice that the J&M is much thicker. See my comparison photo. Like other reviews have indicated, attaching the UCA to the UCA mount on the bench will be much easier than trying to do it under the car as I tried it and I couldn't do it, but I was not using a lift. The UCA assembly can go in quite easily as long as you find the right path. I have had the J&M UCA mount installed for about 6 months. Because I installed so many other components at the same time (e.g. LCA, new suspension kit), I cannot really say how it changes the performance or ride. In theory, the deflection should be much less due to the increased stiffness of the part. The NVH seems to be higher than before, but this could also be due to the adjustable UCA and other components that I installed. If you will be upgrading your suspension, then you might as well spend some extra time installing this stronger mount.

        Might as well...

I combined this swap with the J&M Adjustable UCA. You'll need to drop the gas tank down to get the old one out & new in. If you can, put the UCA & mount together on the bench...it's a tight fit that would be almost impossible under the car. Overall the install was technically simple, the physical part can be rough if you don't have a lift. (I don't) The handling is great now. Adjusted the pinion angle for the lowered stance very easily. Car launches forward with zero wheel hop. You might as well replace the flimsy stock mount when you're upgrading your UCA. The benefits far outweigh the added effort.

        Well made piece

This is a very well made piece that I decided to install along with the J&M Adjustable Upper Control Arm and a new aluminum one-piece driveshaft. No comparison to the stock mount - this thing is rugged. Installation is pretty straight-forward but I forgot to read the installation instructions that said to drop the gas tank. Once we figured that out, we were able to loosen the straps on the tank enough to get the mount in place. After that it was pretty easy. I'm only giving it 4 stars for handling and bang for your buck because mine is a street car. If one were to take a car with this mount on the track, I'm sure it would help the car to be an awesome handler!

        Upper control arm mount

Great product. The gas tank has to be lowered to get the old bracket out and the new bracket in. Other than that, the installation was pretty easy.

Can I use this with a BMR control arm??

      • This mount will work with the BMR control arms.

Some details: 2007 GT/CS lowered 1 1/2", Ford perf. driveshaft, Seeing as this mount has two adjustment positions, is a adjustable UCA necessarily or would a non adjustable upper control arm do the job on and off the track? Also, if this mount does the job re-adjusting the proper rear end angle, would non adjustable lower control arms work as well?

      • The two positions on this mount will provide a small adjustment but no fine adjustment, however being lowered 1.5" you should not need an adjustable UCA to correct pinion angle. Adjustable LCAs would not be needed.

Is this necessary with the J&M Adjustable Upper Control Arm? Is this piece needed, or can I use the Adjustable Upper control arm standalone?

      • On a strictly street driven car, you could. But if you plan on running your car hard on the street or strip/track, this mount is a great heavy duty replacement.
