Improves Traction. Drag racers know if you can't "hook up" at the track you are going nowhere fast. But with the Mustang Complete Rear Control Arm Kit you will greatly improve traction and decrease your 60ft. times. Correct Bushings. This Rear Control Arm Kit comes complete with the correct bushings for both the 1979-1998 and 1999-2004 Mustangs. The bushings for the 1979-1998 model years come pre-installed in the lower control arms, if installing in a 1999-2004 Mustang just swap them out for the extra ones included in the kit.

Quality Construction. Both the upper and lower control arms are crafted from round tubular steel for extra strength and to reduce control arm flex. Includes all necessary hardware and polyurethane bushings for installation.

Application. The Mustang Rear Control Arm Kit comes complete with both upper and both lower control arms and is designed for use on all 1979 to 2004 solid axle Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1 and 1994-1998 SVT Cobra. Does

    Good choice for budget consumers

    December 11, 2010

Let me start by mentioning that I am a poor college kid. I do not have the $500 to shell out on name brand control arms. Nor do I really think I would see that much of an increase for my purposes (daily driver with some street fun) That being said, these are not perfect control arms. The uppers themselves are poly on the torque box side. Maximum motorsports and numerous other suspension companies will tell you this is *not* smart as it can cause significant torque box damage, especially during hard cornering. If anything, a spherical bushing or the stock rubber ones should go up there. Same story on the lowers - poly bushings on the torque box side that are sure to not bend - but make your torque boxes bend if you make a hard turn. Now with all that being said - I do like the control arms. They've stiffened up the "tail end wagging" sensation of the rear end when turning (especially on bumpy corners) and straight line traction has increased greatly. Snap oversteer has increased as well however. So please be careful if you like to turn quickly. Do yourself a favor and get a lift and air tools to install these. They will not come out by hand - I actually ended up snapping off one of the lower control arm bolts using a long breaker bar and had to pay a local shop to fix my mess. This was after 8 hours of laying under the car myself. Consider doing springs at the same time as well. the rear end will *not* bend down far enough for you to pull out your stock springs or even some milder drop springs (frpp b springs in my case) once you have installed these control arms. Otherwise very happy with my purchase.

    Good traction

The control arms made a big difference. Really helps from keeping the car from bouncing all over the place from the lunch. I'm happy, would recommend, and best of all good price.

    Crude but works

    March 27, 2010

For the price it's OK. Kinda crude welds, some a bit off mark. I got two of these kits from different suppliers. Picked the best pieces from the two kits. So far they seem to be holding together. Did make a big difference in the feel. If I had to do it again, I'd spend a bit more money for a better kit.

    Quality of...

    July 09, 2010

Product quality and design is descent, but hardware needs to be thrown out. The "grade 8" bolts are more like grade 4. Threads didn't hold up to minimal pressure, one even broke under pressure of torque wrench. I suggest that you get quality hardware of at least grade 8 to the factory grade 10.9 instead. Also be ready to modify the emergency brake cable brackets on both sides to fit this kit. I am giving this product three stars only because of the design and semi-easy fitting. Hardware I give 1 star only because that is the lowest rating.

    Good Value

    December 07, 2010

These controls arms are totally worth the price! they make it feel so much more stable.. the only downside is the cheap hardware that comes with the kit.. also remember to grease all the bushings!

    Tips

    July 09, 2010

If your mustang is like mine (115k miles), it is a good idea to order the polyurethane spring isolators as well. The old ones fell apart when the springs came out. If you have access to a lift use it. Overall, not a tough install, but not easy either.

    Happy Customer

Came exactly as they were shown. Very happy with them. I stripped them and powder coated them in Bright Red to go on my Mustang GT 5.0 - they look and perform great.

    Cheap performance!

    August 22, 2009

Arms fit great and were a straight forward install. I paired this kit with Prothane bushings for the axle housing and it made a huge difference. all of the stock bushings where torn and mushy. Great fit for a great price!

    Not going to last

    December 20, 2010

I had these. Bushings went bad, and one arm bent. If you race, you will need better arms.
