Increase Horsepower and Torque. Increase the power and performance of your SOHC 4.6L Mustang GT with a set of Pypes Long Tube Headers. These Pypes Polished headers will greatly improve your Pony's exhaust flow over the restrictive stock factory cast iron manifolds and increase your Pony's rear wheel horsepower and torque, when installed with a matching Pypes shorty H-pipe.

Durable Construction. Manufactured from 1-5/8" mandrel bent 304 stainless steel tubing for strength and improved airflow, these Pypes Long Tube Exhaust headers feature a one piece 3/8" thick header flange for additional strength and an OEM fit. Pypes headers are then polished to a bright finish for impressive under hood styling.

Recommended Upgrade. To realize the full power potential that these Long Tube Headers have to offer, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune with either a SCT SF3 or SCT LiveWire Custom Tuner.

Application. These Pypes Polished Long Tube Headers are designed to fit the 1996 to 2004 GT Mustangs with a manual transmission. Pypes long tube headers require a shorty mid pipe in order to install correctly. Pypes recommends using a Pypes shorty H-Pipe for the best performance gains (see drop down option above).

Technical notes. Not legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles; intended for off road use only. An O2 Sensor Extension Kit and Pypes shorty mid-pipe are required for installation.

Does not fit automatic transmission Mustangs unless Driverside primary o2 bung is capped off and an extra o2 bung is placed after the aftermarket Pypes header.

    I just installed mine and it took me two days to install the H pipe and headers. This is not my first time installing a set of long tube headers but I have to admit this have been the hardest of all. I didn't rate this product with five stars because I am having a lot of issues with the overall fitment. I'm really having a major issue with my steering shaft touching one of the tubes and it makes my power steering feel like is a manual steering car. The other side is not that good either, some of the tubes are touching the crossmember and floor of the car. Like I said, i am used to work on cars but this is the first time I had such a hard time with headers. Now I have to get underneath the car and try to bend the headers a little bit so I can stop all the rattle and vibration the headers are causing. I'm almost to the point of pulling everything apart and install my old exhaust manifolds. In other words, if you are ready to have a miserable experience due to fitment and vibration get a set of long tube headers. I hope I can bent the headers in shape but I think I shouldn't have to, cause is something that the manufacturer should of done before start selling it. Very disappointed of the overall fitment.

    They went in and fit well with no issues on my 03 GT. The Included Studs could have been a bit longer but they do work.
