These shorty headers feature turbulence-free header pipes and mitered merge collectors, delivering faster exhaust gas velocity to combustion cycles. The result is practical advancements in horsepower and torque, giving you the performance to tackle the competition come race day.
Competition-Inspired Noise. Not only will these shorty headers increase your Mustang’s performance numbers, but these will also improve your exhaust sound. More to the point, these headers are engineered to transform your ride’s sound from a standard muscle car growl to an aggressive roar worthy of the track.
Robust Build Quality. These shorty headers start as 18-gauge1-5/8-inch wide tubular 305 stainless steel tubes before getting CNC mandrel-bent to tight tolerances. The result is a pair of headers that provide turbulence-free exhaust gas flow. These headers are then expertly welded and paired with 3/8-inch thick stainless steel flanges, offering superior strength and an outstanding sealing surface. Lastly, these headers feature a raw stainless steel finish designed to develop an eye-catching patina over time.
CARB-Certified Under CARB EO Number: D-115-28. These Hooker Blackheart shorty headers are CARB-certified under EO number D-115-28, making them legal in all 50 states.
ECU Re-Tuning Not Required. These shorty headers do not require an ECU re-tuning to provide their gains in power and torque. It is however always beneficial for your vehicle’s overall performance that you give it an ECU re-tune in the future.
