Hey, guys. Stephanie here with the BBK 1-5/8-Inch Long Tube Headers for 2005 to 2010 GT Mustangs. These are gonna be a good option for those of you out there that are looking for a set of affordable chrome coated long tubes that will give you horsepower and torque gains but also give you some chrome under the hood too. A lot of times people pick up a chrome long tube header if they're more interested in horsepower, torque, and sound gains too since a chrome appearance will change over time. These are the 1-5/8-inch offering which means that the primary tubes on these headers will be larger than the 1-3/4-inch offering. You'll wanna be picking up the correct size long tubes for your build. So, you wanna keep in mind things like your horsepower and torque numbers, the goal or purpose of your build, and the corresponding mods that will be on your car or that are already there. These cost about $500. And I'm gonna call the install a three out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter since long tubes are a complicated install. Long tube headers are gonna be a big upgrade over the restrictive cast iron manifolds. Long tubes will make for a very free-flowing exhaust system, especially with an aftermarket mid-pipe or cat-back. One other thing you should keep in mind if you're looking for a set of long tube headers is that you'll need to pick up a shorty mid-pipe to pair with your long tubes. Your stock mid-pipe won't work with long tubes.When it comes to mid-pipes it is going to be best to pair the headers with the same brand of mid-pipe. So, if you're running these BBK headers, you'll wanna pick up a BBK shorty mid-pipe. Keeping the brands the same will make sure that you have a proper fit with no leads. But you could always try any flanged and shorty mid-pipe if you really didn't want to run the BBK.The primary tubes on these headers are 1-5/8-inch in diameter and they are the larger tubes. The chrome coating does look nice initially, but just know that it will change slightly over time. So, if you're looking for something that will stay nice over time, you might wanna be checking out a ceramic coated header instead.Looking at the craftsmanship of the BBK headers, BBK does a nice job with that. The flanges are laser-cut 3/8-inch thick to make for a very precise fit at the head. All of the O2 sensor bungs are pre-welded and they come with O2 extensions for you as well as new hardware. One more thing to keep in mind is that these headers do have a limited one year warranty.Installing a set of long tube headers is not an easy job. It's not really for a first-time wrencher. You will need some knowledge to get the job done. You can always take the car to a shop for the install if it's not something that you can complete at home. I'll call the install a three out of three wrenches in the difficulty meter and say that you should set aside a day to get the job done. That's gonna wrap up this video.
