Power you can Tune. The SCT SF3 handheld tuner will allow you to re-tune your Mustangs computer for more power and better drivability. Comes preloaded with a SCT tune or a free custom Bama tune to take full advantage of your new JLT Cold Air Intake!

Increased HP and torque. From the factory, the manufacturer programs their vehicles to cater to the needs of the daily driver, not the performance enthusiast. After loading the custom Bama Tune on a vehicle, even a bone stock, unmodified Mustang will realize noticeable gains in HP, Torque, and Fuel Economy.

Increase your mod's potential. Factory computer settings are calibrated for the original factory components. When making performance modifications, you need to recalibrate the vehicle's computer to realize the full potential that these modifications can achieve.

Custom Bama Tunes specific to your vehicle. When you order a tuner, you aren't just getting a tuner - you are getting the tuner and 3 dyno-tested custom Bama tunes:

  • Street (87-93 octane) - the street tune is designed as a daily driver program that focuses in on increasing mid-range power. It does give up a few HP at higher RPMs, but that's why there is a Performance file. Automatic vehicles are further enhanced by making adjustments to the transmission's shift points and firmness.
  • Performance (87-93 octane) - The Performance program is designed to add power at 3000 RPMs and higher, focusing more on the top end horsepower and all out performance driving. Timing, fuel and throttle response settings are slightly more aggressive than the street tune. This is a great track tune but also works well for daily drivers that are looking for a little more "get up and go" than the street tune. The automatic transmission settings are the same as in the street tune.
  • Race (91 - 93 octane) - The race tune will ensure the largest increase in vehicle performance. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area is mandatory. This file is designed for "Race only Use" as the timing, fuel, and throttle response settings are very aggressive. in fact, the adjustments are so aggressive, that we do not recommend it for daily driving as it may cause your vehicle to try to jump out from a stop and easily spin the tires. Finally, with the automatics, we implement entirely new shift points and firmness settings to further enhance the all-out performance of the vehicle.

Nitrous (91-unleaded race gas) - Our nitrous option can be added to any of our previously mentioned tune options, but only for 91-octane unleaded fuel.

Easy to load; easy to restore. Not only are the custom tunes easy to load on your vehicle, it is just as easy to restore your factory settings. When you load your custom tune on the vehicle, the tuner automatically stores your vehicle's factory settings. To return the vehicle to its factory settings, just plug the tuner back in, select the option to restore the factory settings, and you're done.

    Quick and Easy HP

    I had been contemplating getting this combo for my 2010 GT for months. But never could decide if it was the right move. Let me tell you...IT IS!!! I installed the CAI and took her for a spin and noticed a fair gain in low end HP but once i installed the custom Bama tune...she roared to life. I only have it on the 87 octane program at the moment, but the response out of my car is delicious to say the least. I highly recommend this combo for anyone looking for some easy/quick HP. The installation was fast and relatively painless (except for the repositioning of my power steering resivoir, broke the damn bracket and had to get creative to keep it in place). All in all, it's worth every penny, and at such a great price, plus the lifetime Free Bama custom tunes...you just can't beat it.

    quick install

    Since my 2010 came with a factory version CAI I was skeptical about this being a waste. But it wasn't. Install was about 40 minutes and I loaded the 93 octane tune in a few minutes. The car has more low end grunt but the real difference is from about 3500 to the redline it pulls much harder. Took my 0-60 time from 4.9 down to 4.6. Thanks to AM and Bama for the tune.

    Blast to drive

    2010GT comes with somewhat freeflowing CAI but it cannot be compared to JLT CAI when it comes to performance, sound especially when paired with bama tune. I owned auto GT so mine was a bit sluggish but after the install(very easy!) and a 93 race tune from bama, it is SICK! blast to drive and now I chirp 2nd and 3rd gear. If you own auto mustang, BAMA tube is way to go. My race tune had an error during install, but after very kind customer support from bama tube, everything went smooth, eventhough it was weekend they provided amazingly kind customer support.

    Simple and Fun

    I got my CAI and tune and had it installed within 2 hours of receiving it. It was pretty simple install, follow the instructions. Even if you aren't a mechanic it still doesn't take long. (An hour and a half with going to the fridge for a guiness whenever me or my buddy needed one.) Only warning I have is the relocation of the power steering reservoir. Check your hoses, and trim them. Just by taking the hoses completely off the reservoir and holding them up next to it, you will see you have an extra 4 to 6 inches of hose sitting there. Cut it, re-clamp it and you are good to go. The tune is awesome, haven't tested out the race tune, but the performance tune is a blast. Definitely able to feel the difference. If your looking for a minor upgrade, this is the way to go.

    Awesome Product with a few things to note

    In order of install.. The tune was so easy. Literally, plug it in and let it go. Make sure to install the tune before the install of the intake. The programmer will take the stock settings and keep them in memory. Install for this is about 10 minutes to load. Now on to the intake... Stock box and wiring is really straight forward. The intake shroud in the grill is a pain to get off. I used a flat head screwdriver to pry the top part off then just pulled; use a little elbow grease and it will come off. Construction of intake is easy. Also the mass airflow sensor is easy too. Just make sure the flow arrow goes in the direction of the air to the throttle body. Now the steering reservoir is tricky...When you turn it the 180 degrees, the hose is going to kink at the bottom. JLT doesn't mention this nor to they provide a workaround; this is my biggest gripe. IF YOU DO NOT TRIM THE HOSE, THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM COULD/WILL FAIL (due to lack of fluid). You will need to get creative to fix this. Trim the hose or find another way. Awesome shipping from American Muscle. Awesome tune! Car sounds awesome at WOT. You can really hear the filter pulling in that air at WOT (sorta hisses).

    Easy too use

    Could feel the difference right away! The only issue is getting the intake for the filter box with the four tabs. A little bit of pain to get at.

    Let me start by saying that i have alway sent my car to the shop for anything that is needed to be done to my car.. This combo kit was so easy to do a Auburn Tiger fan could do it... I have only used the 93 RACE tune and u can tell the difference when pulling out the driveway. Really powerful and almost scary.lol it cost more than what i wanted to pay but u pay for what you get. Great job AM!!

    Nice HP gain

    NIce product!....the re-tune/CAI definitely adds some juicy throttle response and overall HP gain...take it easy installing the CAI hose clamp on the throttle body gasket! Barely snug it on...the JLT plastic folds pretty easy causing vacuum leaks around the throttle body...otherwise, a quick easy install...American Muscle pulls through AGAIN!
