had it on my 2014 v6 for about 2 months now absolutely no problems drove for an hour one time and checked if the heat shield was keeping the filter cold and it works like a charm would defiantly recommend.Helpful (0)

Great Bang For Buck
Looked all over doing research on multiple Cold Air Intakes, and finally decided to settle with JLT. Once i installed this CAI i knew i made the right decision, the throttle response seemed a tad better and actually noticed a slight bump in MPG. but this CAI really shines under heavy acceleration and just lets the 3.7 scream and pull for days. Overall great purchase and would highly recommend to any 3.7 owner.Helpful (0)

The sound it makes when stepping on the pedal is priceless. I love it. I do notice a bit of a better throttle response, specially on higher RPS. I will pair it with Bama tune.Helpful (0)

Great Purchase! Definitely love the look of it under the hood. And that subtle whistle when you push on the gas makes it that much more amazing! Thank you American Muscle for this great cold air intake!Helpful (0)

This is a very nice intake definitely increases airflow can hear it pulling air while driving.only downside is the fact you have to drill out a hole for the brake booster vacuum on automatic cars not to hard just an extra step I wasn’t aware of.Helpful (0)

Fitment was an issue
Once it was finally installed, the intake works great, but getting it there was a challenge. The weather stripping supplied for the heat shield was way too long and I had to cut it down to fit, the heat shield itself doesn’t sit quite right, and trying to get the tube thru the heat shield felt like trying to mount a tire by hand. That being said, the sound it makes is great, and I definitely notice a bit better throttle response.Helpful (0)

I love the sound. Love the roar from the engine. Made my exhaust sound even better. Could tell a slight increase in power. My only complaint is that you have to drill a hole if you have an automatic, but overall pretty easy install. Nice intake for the priceHelpful (1)

How much HP and torque gains can we see from this? Roughly
JLT claims that this Performance Cold Air Intake produces 10-15 rwhp however, they have not provided torque figures.
How often should I clean the filter and what should I use?
You usually want to clean your filter every 10-15k miles. You can use a filter cleaner or soap and water works justas well.
for drilling does it have to be specifically 6 inches I noticed that I drilled the hole further down and wanted to know if this comprises expected gains.
When installing the JLT Performance Cold Air Intake, the drilling location for automatics is designed for optimal routing of the hose, and will have no effect on performance.
I see on a couple customer photos of a grommet that shields at the box and fits to the tube does any one know where to find one it looks grey?
The grommet is a custom modification that does not come with the JLT Performance Cold Air Intake (11-14 V6).
When building up the intake where do I get the part from that I need to drill or does it come off the stock intake
You certainly can use the K&N cleaner, yes. Any of the cleaners would work.
The MAF housing is the same size as stock.
Automatic equipped Mustangs will require drilling an extra hole into the induction tube for proper installation.
No, we do not carry the replacement JLT filter at this time.
The JLT Performance Cold Air Intake for the 11-14 V6 Mustang will not require a tune.
The JLT Performance Cold Air Intake would only need the filter cleaned at the factory filters replacement intervals. Typically around 30,000 miles, depending on the conditions the vehicle is driven in. A filter cleaning kit/recharge kit would be used which will come with instructions detailing the process of applying the cleaner, rinsing the filter, and drying/re oiling the filter.
Hello! I am really sorry that you are having this issue! Please give us a call or shoot us an email at your earliest convenience! http://www.americanmuscle.com/contact.html
Hello! You can buy cleaner and re-oil kits for the JLT Performance Cold Air Intake at local autoparts store.
The JLT Performance Cold Air Intake will work just fine with the BBK 73mm throttle body. You will notice it will be lot tighter of a fit around the new throttle body. You will just have to stretch the coupler to fit over the new throttle body for a very tight secure fit.
The filter is oiled
