SR Performance TBS Observations
Packaging: Includes the TBS, TBS gasket, longer bolts / washers, hose adapter, and directions in a small cardboard box. The TBS had a few scratches (apparently from machining) but otherwise seems like a solid piece of billet aluminum.
Installation: Took about 20 minutes to install by removing the intake tube / TB, adding the TBS (with gasket), and using the longer bolts. Covered the intake manifold with a bag to make sure nothing got inside. Regarding the 2015 V6 Mustang specifically, the hose design is different but I used the stock one without any issues. The TBS almost looks like a factory piece and subtly improves under-hood appearance.
Performance: Noticed slightly improved low range torque and smoother shifting. There is also a slight whistle sound upon acceleration. It is too early to tell what effect on fuel economy it will have but if it is similar to a TBS I installed on my last Mustang it should be a 1-3 MPG improvement.
Overall: A great little mod for the money which can improve performance and economic characteristics of the solid 3.7L Cyclone.
