Will it fit with a Throttle Body spacer? I have the Steeda throttle body spacer and I have seen other CAI's that say they won't fit with a throttle body spacer.

BigJer51

  • I would not recommend using a throttle body spacer with the Roush or Airaid intake. The fit is already very tight without the spacer.

When i search this exact intake on roush website it says it is california legal but it doesnt say anything about it on here so is it california legal or no

ParmbirB

  • The Roush Cold Air Intake carries CARB EO #D-418-30 making this California legal. this will be updated on our site.

Is the filter available for sale as a standalone? I have this CAI installed on my daily driver and wanted to have a backup on hand (if possible) when the time comes to clean it. Great product by the way. Thanks.

SDB

  • Unfortunately, we do not at this time carry that filter separately, it may be possible to source it directly from roush.

It is what they say it is.

Does it increase HP and Torque? Yes ... approx 10 HP in the low rpm range (0 up to 3500 rpm's). Does it make your throttle response better? Yes. Can you feel the extra power? Yes ... with you "butt dyno". A real dyno will verify the same. Does it get you more mpg? Yes ... 2-3 mpg vs stock air filter and 1 extra mpg more vs a "drop-in" performance air filter. Does it sound great? Yes. It starts to "growl" when the rpm's get to approx 2000 rpm's. It makes my Ford Racing Sport axle back mufflers sound louder for sure. My wife drove it when I installed the intake and immediately said it sounds louder. Also makes my muffler tone sound slightly deeper. It actually makes me want to drive my 2013 v6 automatic more. Before installing the intake, I drove in sport mode most of the time because the mufflers sounded better than in regular drive mode. Now, It sounds so much better, I do not care which mode , regular drive or sport mode, I drive in. I get 23-25 mpg in the city, if I stay within 5 mph of the speed limit. And, I get 30+ mpg on the highway at 70 mph. I love it and would definitely purchase it again.

    Great Product!

The fit over the throttle body was a bit tight but overall installation was a breeze. Makes my V6 sound like a boss along with my flowmasters, especially at high RPMs. Moderate acceleration gain and so far about 3mpg boost even though I've been pushing the engine a little more just to enjoy the sound and feel of it.

Roush Cold Air Intake 2012 V6

The Roush CIA looks like a factory fit, it’s very easy to install and has an excellent sound when you get on the throttle. There is a noticeable gain in acceleration, but have not seen any improvement in mpg. No installation instructions were shipped with this product, but I heard Roush has an excellent customer service dept. Last, American Muscle did a great job with the fast shipping!

    Installation a breeze

I was concerned that this unit would not fit on the 2013 but install took only 45 minutes. That is including finding the right tools for the job. My garage isn't the best organized! Anyway, it fit like it was made for my car and the sound when driving down the road and needing to apply the gas is AWESOME! Definitely get it if you like to know you're driving a Mustang!

    Roush CAI for my V6

Good product a little complicated due to changing out a bracket. I like the sound and perfromance gain. The nice thing about this product from Roush is it does not void warranty nor does it require a tune. I checked with my dealer. Great little add to improve your performance. The jury is still out on any gas milage improvement. The instructions were good and they had easy to understand pictures. One issue I found with the instructions is the information on maintenance requirments for the CAI/Filter. It was very limited.

    Great sound, easy install

Got this guy for my '11 V6. I don't know about hp gains but man oh man does it sound fantastic. Raspy and deeper. Install was easy enough, you can do most of it yourself. It might come in handy to have one other person to help with attaching the tube to the new airbox. Its kind of a tight fit, so an extra pair of hands couldn't hurt. Overall very satisfied with this Roush product

Roush CAI Roush Axle Backs = Throaty Roar

This CAI definitely adds that muscle roar. It cancelled out that tiny portion of raspiness the axle backs had (still sounded great). Sounds insane in the low and mid RPM ranges (1,500-4,500). I feel the difference now when I step on it. It accelerates faster and looks great under the hood. For those looking for that V8 muscle-like growl, this is the piece!

    Rush Cold Air Breather

I could actually tell the difference in pick up as soon as this product was installed. Along with the new Roush exhaust, Big difference! I show my car as a V6 Mustang BUT it's not just a V6, It's a Roush V6 with 305 HP!

One of the better intakes out there for the v6 mustang not needing a tune after install. Let's the exhaust flow a little better and u can hear it. I had mine paired with the roush exhaust and it sounded amazing. I recently changed my exhaust set up. Easy install will take about and hour or less to complete from start to finish

    Just awesome

This mod was a little challenging to install probably because I have a 73mm BBK Throttle Body, upgraded from factory so the fitting that goes between the cold air tube and the throttle body was a really tight fit. That being said I am more than happy with the increased performance and the growl under the hood.

    Excellent addition

Love my new roush intake! Everything came in a timely manner and was packed nicely. Install was fairly simple. It was a tight fit but once in it looked great and it sounds great also. Makes the stock exhaust pop on the downrev! Only thing i would complain about is i didnt recieve a paper receipt/invoice in thr package.

    Roush for my Roush

My husband bought me this for my Birthday. We got it yesterday and installed it last night. It took a little longer than an hour on my 2014 due to the curve of the pipe and tight fitment. You can definitely tell a difference in horsepower and it gives it a deeper sound with my Roush exhaust too. LOVE IT!!!!

    What a sound!

After doing lots of research, I decided to go with this Roush CAI. So glad I did! The throttle response feels quicker, and I'm sure it boosted my hp and torque, but the sound alone was worth every penny. No more "stock V6" sound - my car now sounds throaty and has a real growl above 2000 rpm. Next step will be an exhaust system, probably a cat-back...

    GOOD ADDITION TO YOUR V6

Very happy with my new Roush CAI. I have Roush axel back exhaust, and this gave it more bass than before. I took my car to a Jack Roush car signing and people there thought it was v8. Fit is very tight, but only took about 20-30 minutes to install. This intake may have helped a bit with response gains, but can't really notice much of a power change (worth the cost though for the deep bass alone). I did notice that when I wash my car there is a small amount of water that collects under the filter. More than likely this is such a small amount that it would not be sucked up into the throttle body, but may be something to check and keep an eye on. Overall it sounds great and looks even better. I'm very happy with my purchase!!

Very epic piece to add to your ride. It has an excellent sound with a roush axel back exhaust. I would definitely recommend this piece for a v6 mustang.

    Great, easy, performance upgrade

This product performs great, looks great and is easy to install. The finish on the product is of high quality. On our V6, 6 speed the sensor was about 3/4 of an inch off for a perfect fit. Just a little trimming to the cover and it was taken care of easily. Love the product, would recommend.
