Increase Horsepower and Torque. The Roush Performance Mustang Cold Air Intake kit replaces your V6 Mustangs restrictive factory air box and paper filter with a high flow filter assembly and intake tube for an increase of horsepower and torque while improving throttle response and fuel mileage.

No Tune Required. Unlike other Cold Air Intakes on the market for the 3.7L V6 Mustangs, the Roush CAI does not require a computer re-tune. The engineers at Roush Performance really did their homework to improve your pony's power using the factory tune.

Superior Quality. Roush manufactures the air box tray and tube in this CAI kit from high quality thermoplastic materials for superior structural stability, and durability.

Reusable Filter. This Roush Cold Air Intake comes complete with a reusable high-flow Roush air filter, so no there is no need to go out and buy a new filter every few thousand miles. Just clean the filter, re-oil it, save money, and go!

Easy Installation. Roush Cold Air Intake kits are designed to install with just basic hand tools. No extra modifications or special tools are required for an easy 1 hour installation. All parts and instructions are included.

Application. This Roush Performance Cold Air Intake is specifically designed for use on the 2011 to 2014 V6 Mustang equipped with the 3.7L Ti-VCT engine and does not require a new computer tune.

Without a tune how much hp added with this Roush CAI?

    • The Roush Cold Air Intake without a tune would add around 15 extra horsepower.

Will it fit with a Throttle Body spacer? I have the Steeda throttle body spacer and I have seen other CAI's that say they won't fit with a throttle body spacer.

    • I would not recommend using a throttle body spacer with the Roush or Airaid intake. The fit is already very tight without the spacer.

Is a tuner required or optional with this roush cai? Looking to upgrade with a tuner in the future but am just starting with increased horse power from cai.

    • The Roush Cold Air Intake, does not require a tune.

How much hp could I gain in my 2011 v6 Mustang from this Roush CAI along with a Bama Rev-X tuner?

    • It would depend on the tune and octane used on the vehicle, but you could see around 20-30 HP.

Is this better than using a tuner?? Please advise and explain.

    • This will provide a horsepower gain and better airflow. A tuner will also supply these things, in different ways, however. The two are not the same, and can be used together to add further benefit.

      Love It

This intake is worth every penny. It fits nicely and definitely removes the restrictions caused by the stock intake. It has a deep growl when pushed and a nice hiss when it pulls air in. It has already increased my gas milage by 30 miles per tank. Definitely recommend this intake!

      Throaty and Deep when needed

The install took about 2 hours, but that's only because we misplaced a few things in the process and had to retrieve them out of the engine. :P Put the coupler on the throttle body first and then the tube, it makes the fit into the cold dam a bit tighter, but it will save you time in long run. Can't notice too much of a difference at idle, but when you get to 2500 RPM, it will scream. So worth it.

      Worth every penny!

Installation was easy and didn't take long at all, about an hour. There is a distinct difference in performance. Throttle response is much better. When I bought my 2011 mustang almost 2 years ago I had some difficulty with clutch and throttle timing. It had been at least 15 years since I drove a manual and that was all mechanical linkage. The stock throttle response has a very slight lag to it, just enough to mess with my timing. After installation, the lag in throttle response has disappeared and my timing issue between clutch and throttle is non-existent now. I've had it on for a couple weeks now and am very satisfied, money well spent!

      A Must Have

I was originally going to buy the KandN but this intake kept catching my eye, and what ultimately made me decide on this was the reviews everyone left. Now, I've never had an intake before this one so take this with a grain of salt. It took my friend and I about an hour or two but we weren't rushing. Small word of advice, put the rubber fitment piece on the throttle body first then the intake tube. Also, do yourself a favor and keep track of the pieces that come in the bag. I do absolutely love this and it's worth every penny. My car absolutely gained a much deeper growl, even when I'm short shifting through my neighborhood. Once you hit 2000-2500 rpm that's when you hear it best. I saw a review where they said they heard their car whistle almost like a turbo, that's absolutely true you just have to put your window down. My car sounds down right mean and its not over the top, I also notice better mpg. I saw somewhere on the QandA that this gives you about 15 ish more horse power, and the KandN I was looking at gives you 18 ish. Honestly, the bald eagle in my passenger seat wouldn't screech any louder with that 3 horsepower difference. Do yourself a favor and save your money (or save up) and buy this, you won't be disappointed at all.

      Awesome sound!

My v6 2013 mustang has had no upgrades besides this. I can very obviously hear the difference from the stock intake. At 3000RPMS and above is when you can really hear it! I haven’t noticed any MPG gains but it just got installed today. Totally recommend!

      Worth Having on any mustang

Tbh not worth the $350 but it made some improvement. My car now is louder and it crackles and pops even more than before. Better throttle response just by a tad bit.

      Worth the money

The owner before me had a low quality air intake on the car so I went with the Roush and it was worth it. Intake tube is so much larger than other aftermarket ones and the whistle off the intake sounds amazing!

I am extremely happy with this cold air intake. I had put the magnaflow axle back race exhaust on which really changed the sound of my V6 but adding this intake made it sound even better. Much more responsive.
