Boosted 2v and 4v Engines need a clutch that can keep up with the increased torque on the transmission. More HP means more torque, and the stock clutch in Mustangs wont hold all of that boosted torque without failing and damaging the transmission. This SPEC Stage 2+ clutch will safely hold 620 ft/lb of torque without failing, so you can play hard and drive hard like you are supposed to do with your Mustang!
The Stage 2+ Clutches are designed for all modified engines making more torque than the standard stage 2 clutch can support. The Stage 2+ clutch maintains stage 2 feel for good daily drivability and offers very good wear characteristics, but provides a higher torque capacity. This particular stage can hold up to 620 ft/lb of torque!
Each Stage 2+ Clutch includes a high clamp pressure plate, composite multi-friction carbon-kevlar material, high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearing and tool kit. SPEC even provides you with an alignment tool. And if you are replacing your clutch it is also a good idea to replace your Clutch Cable and Quadrant at the same time to prolong the life of your new Clutch.
