Hey, guys. Justin here with americanmuscle.com. And today, we're gonna be breaking down the McLeod Street Pro Clutch system, available for all 2011 through 2017 Mustang GTs. Now, the McLeod clutch here will appeal to the stock or very lightly modded GT owners who are looking for a very daily driver-friendly clutch capable of holding a little bit more power than stock while delivering a very pleasant, easy-to-drive pedal feel, thanks to the organic friction disc with the sprung hub design.Let's dive a little bit deeper into the Street Pro here from McLeod. And this is gonna be the company's essentially entry-level offering, if you will, in regards to power holding capabilities, basically an OE equivalent clutch for the stock GTs or light bolt-on cars. Now, for those of you guys that know McLeod, you know they offer some of the best clutches on the market today, and they offer a huge spectrum of clutch applications for pretty much any power goal. For instance, we have this clutch here on the table with me today. It's gonna be kind of their entry-level offering, as we just talked about. Then you can work all the way up the line or all the way up the chain to the RXT, which is the company's most aggressive twin disc offering, capable of holding basically 1,000-plus wheel horsepower cars.So with that in mind, guys, again, this is certainly not going to be for the heavy bolt-on cars out there, forced induction, things like that, but rather cars that are seeing very light mods, almost keeping them stock, if you will, as this is really just gonna be capable of holding upwards of 400 pound-feet of torque at the crank, according to the gang over at McLeod. Now, at the same time, though, this is going to be a very, very smooth clutch to drive on the street, thanks again to that organic sprung hub friction disc design, in addition to the corresponding pressure plate. But let's get more into those individual components. And as I just mentioned, guys, again, you are receiving the clutch disc itself here along with the bright red pressure plate. Now, I will say you're not going to be receiving any additional parts with this kit such as a flywheel or a hydraulic throwout bearing. Now, you can use this clutch with both stock or aftermarket flywheels of your choosing, but if you did wanna pair this with an aftermarket flywheel, I would highly, highly recommend sticking with a McLeod flywheel for the best experience at the end of the day.Friction disc, again, a grooved surface here, grooved organic material, not much unlike your factory friction disc for that matter. This material, the organic matter here is known for very smooth engagement. And when paired with the sprung hub design right here, it's going to make this a very streetable clutch that will essentially feel like a stock part. Now, you're gonna pair this disc up with McLeod's high clamp load pressure plate. And again, you got a combination that's going to outperform the stock clutch while not killing your leg while stuck in traffic. Now, the price point for the McLeod here is gonna live, I would say, in that mid to low $400 range, which is gonna be on average with a lot of your other Stage 1 equivalents or stock replacements here on the site from companies like SPEC or RAM, but will be far more affordable, by the way, if you compare this to an option, say, maybe from EXEDY, which typically cost a couple of hundred bucks more. Now, if you did want a little more holding power here, you'd like to stick with McLeod overall, I would probably suggest the Street Extreme instead. That's going to give you a little bit more of an aggressive friction disc material here. It's gonna cost you a little bit more, but again, your power-holding capabilities will go up.Moving into the installation, and clutch jobs obviously are not going to be for the first-time or novice wrenchers out there. Because of that, site is gonna call this a full pull, 3 out of 3 wrenches on the difficulty meter, and at least a full day, I'd say, to complete from start to finish. Obviously, big steps include getting the car in the air, removing the exhaust, the driveshaft, and obviously that transmission to access both the clutch and flywheel if you needed to do that as well, in addition to maybe tackling a throwout bearing at the same time. So again, definitely not for the light-time wrenchers out there. If you're not feeling comfortable with this one, you don't have enough tools, I would certainly reach out to your local shop instead. So wrapping this one up, guys, again, if you are the owner of an '11 to '17 stock or light bolt-on GT and you're looking for a very high-quality stock replacement clutch for your ride, you have to check out this Street Pro from McLeod right here at americanmuscle.com.
