    Pure Performance. If you have a supercharger or turbocharger on your coyote GT Mustang, then you need a high performance clutch to put that power down without destroying your transmission. A SPEC Stage 3 Clutch is rated up to 755 ft-lb of torque, but is specially designed for heavily modified street and race engines. This clutch helps to deliver a perfect balance of handling a lot of torque and delivering quick, precise engagement.

    Race Ready. The SPEC Stage 3 Clutches are designed to be the ultimate strip and street clutch. A Stage 3 is designed to handle all the power you're putting down and to deliver sharp but smooth engagement. Combining elements of a race clutch with a street clutch means it will withstand many passes on the strip, all while allowing you to let your high performance Pony stretch its legs on the street.

    Premium Quality. The sprung hub, 6-puck design of the SPEC Stage 3 features a carbon semi-metallic friction material for unsurpassed bite and quick shifts. The Stage 3 Clutch includes the high clamp pressure plate and the 6 puck friction disc.

    Application. The SPEC Stage 3 Clutch is a performance upgrade for your serious street/strip Mustang. This Spec Mustang Clutch is designed for use on the 2011-2017 GT Mustangs, with the MT-82 manual transmission.

    It's recommended that you add an SR Performance Braided Stainless Steel Hydraulic Clutch Line during your new clutch install. Stock plastic clutch lines can fail during aggressive driving. Stainless steel clutch lines help prevent gear lockout and provide superior clutch pedal feel, even under the toughest conditions.

    Technical Note. It's recommended to install a new SPEC flywheel with this replacement clutch for the 2011-2017 Mustang GT. Please view our flywheel page for steel and aluminum flywheel replacements.

        Looking at buying this for my 2011 GT 5.0 but don't know what slave cylinder works best with it and would I need the 6 or 8 bolt flywheel?

        • Hey Casey, So first you will need to get an 8 bolt flywheel from spec in order to properly install. Clutch brand must match flywheel. The best slave cylinder to work with that application would be the Mcleod Adjustable hydraulic throwout bearing/slave cylinder

        Hi there I am currently contemplating buying this for my mustang! i have a 03 cobra flywheel on my setup with a 6 bolt pattern and a standard mt82 behind it. Is there anyway this pressure plate will fit an 01 cobra 6 bolt pattern flywheel.

        • The Spec Stage 3 Clutch is specifically designed for the 11-14 GT Mustangs. It will not work with a 2001 Cobra.

        will this bolt to the factory flywheel on a 2011 gt 5.0 mt82 transmission?

        • The Spec Stage 3 Clutch can bolt to a factory flywheel that has been resurfaced, however it is recommended to use a matching spec flywheel for the best fit and functionality.

            Stiff clutch but you get used to it

            Good clutch only had it for 1500 miles so far but it seems to be going along fine.

            Awesome clutch

            Very happy with the stage 3 clutch. All the parts were included and was easy to install. Bolted right up. Its a aggressive clutch that wants grab straight away so it tends to shudder if you are trying to shift easy. Not really a city clutch on a daily driver. It grabs hard when launched harder than any Ive ever had. The description about the product was very accurate. The pedal isn't to heavy for me either.

            great for the money

            Took me and a friend an afternoon to install. Wish it had an alignment tool. Missing a slave cylinder kind of sucked for I replaced it a couple months later. In all of you have the right tools it's an easy install. It's a great clutch great bite and it's not too heavy to wear it wears your leg out in heavy traffic. Just by the alignment tool and if you have 30k plus miles replace the slave cylinder too. Great for track.

            Spec 3 clutch 2012 GT

            The spec 3 clutch is defiantly a great clutch for the price the only problem I ran into was that for one you don't get an instal tool with the kit which makes install a little harder and they holes for centerin pins are not large enough I had to drill out the holes and then only 6 bolt holes line up with fly wheel web factory clutch used 9 all in all it's a good value good clutch for a good price

            Great clutch for the money!

            I bought this clutch to replace my stock clutch after 15k miles (known pressure plate issue that ford neglects to admit to) and decided to replace my stock clutch with the spec stage 3 and billet steel flywheel. This combo completely beefed up my driving experience from day to day and especially on the track! It takes a little getting used to the"bite" of the new clutch on the road, but after a few days it's BAU. I plan on force inducting my car next year, and I have to doubt this clutch can take everything you throw at it!

            SPEC stage 3

            Just got the SPEC installed over the stock 11GT clutch. since it's still in the 500 mile break in, I haven't pushed it. initial feel of the clutch though is that is a little harder to depress the clutch, the clutch has a smaller zone for engagement. it's now more of a on/off switch. I will post up later with an update after a couple thousand miles with it. also the car is 2011 GT with stock 3.73's: mods: JLT intake, BBK longtubes, bbk catless x-pipe, and custom tune. 12.5X @ 115mph quarter mile times average.
