Description
Responsive Handling. H&R Race Springs offer tight responsive handling and more control than that of the stock factory springs. These standard rate Race Springs drastically reduce body roll in the turns, squat during acceleration, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking by lowering the vehicles center of gravity. H&R Race springs are perfect for aggressive street driving, but still comfortable enough for daily use. Muscle Car Stance. The H&R Race Springs not only improve the overall handling of your S197 Mustang, but they also improve the appearance by lowering the ride height approximately 1.5" in the front and 1.4" in the rear to eliminate that nasty 4x4 truck look for a more aggressive muscle car stance.

Application. This set of four H&R Race Springs are designed specifically for use on the 2011-2013+ Coupe and Convertible Mustangs, including the V6 and GT models. Does

not fit the Shelby GT500.

Perfect !

These springs feel real close to oem ride, & are not stiff or bouncy.. I really recoment if you want a clean drop. It left about 1/2" of gap between the tire and the fender which is perfect.

    H&R Race Spring review

    August 16, 2011

High quality product which dropped the car exactly as specified. Car sits perfectly flat in the corners, and very balanced on the highway....the car really feels like a sports car now. However, the ride is very rough...still something I need to get used to I guess. The front drop is perfect in my opinion..the rear is just a little too low - I would have preferred a slight rake. I can still make it over most speed bumps head on BUT I can no longer get my jack under the diff, will now have to drive up on 2x6s.

    Excellent product but be careful

    December 05, 2011

Be careful, this is a good procut but you will have to install shocks/struts and most importantly upper strut mounts (gt500). If you use orginal mounts, it will creak and make clunky sound. in order to install gt500 strut mounts, you have to get new shocks/struts. So the cost of lowering ur stang will go much higher than you planned.

    These springs are great!

    June 28, 2012

These springs give the car a much more aggressive looking stance, greatly decrease body roll while cornering and "nose dive" under heavy braking. You will sacrifice some ride quality but its totally worth it for the performance gains especially if you want your mustang to stay flat on those windy back roads.

Killer Look But Bear the Consequences

    March 23, 2012

The drop look of these springs should be the standard look of the Muscle car. It gives the meaner look and just by dropping the car with these springs, people have asked me whether by car is Shelby GT or not. (MCA package also helps) However, you will suffer from ride quality. The spring's rate is not progressive and these are for pretty much strictly for "RACING," so I would not so much recommend it for daily drivers. Although, when you are making a corner, you will know how those race car drivers feel even at a high speed. Great for the looks and corner handling, but not so much for ride quality.

    Great Look!

    May 27, 2012

These springs give the mustang a great and aggressive look, however if you reuse the stock struts you will get a noise when you hit small potholes and this is because you reuse the same struts. to get rid of this noise you could order the eibach struts and put them on with these springs.

    Great Look, Great Handling Improvement!!

    June 08, 2014

Installed these on weds and they were very easy and they dropped the car very nicely. The ride and handling is much more predictable now with these installed. The drop was a little more than what is stated above, but not much. Love these and would definitely recommend them to a friend!

    fast but stiff

    August 24, 2012

Put these on my 2013 GT. Dive and squat are considerably improved at the expense of ride quality. I installed these with the intent to road course the car at NJMP, Pocono and Lime Rock.
