Description
Improves Handling. The most popular progressive rate spring in H&R's line-up, Super Sport Springs will lower your Mustang's center of gravity, to reduce squat during acceleration, body roll in the corners, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. Sport Springs feature more control than that of the stock factory springs, but are still comfortable enough for daily driving and occasional track use.

Aggressive Stance.
The H&R Super Sport Springs not only improve the handling of your S197 Mustang, but they also improve the overall appearance by lowering the ride height approximately 1.7" in the front and 2.4" in the rear. This eliminates that nasty raised 4x4 truck look for a more aggressive muscle car stance.

Application.
This set of four H&R Super Sport Springs are designed specifically for use on all 2010 V6 and GT Mustangs as well as 2007-2014 Shelby GT500 Mustangs. Compatible with coupe and convertible models.

great product

It lowered my mustang so much that I didn't move a bit when I made a turn. However, it drops your drive qulity down. I felt my mustang is gonna fall apart when I cross a bumper. Much better with a strut

Q & A (3 Questions, 3 Answers) Ask a Question

Can I install just the springs or will I also need shocks? What about camber? I just want to make sure I don't have to also install new shocks. Are higher camber plates necessary too? What about the actual camber? Will the tires wear out that much faster to where I'd need a camber adjustment kit as well?

  • yes you will need cambers eventually , I bought these springs by themselves no camber and no shocks or struts, the tires lasted me for 3 months after a while I was feeling a shaking on my steering wheel I checked the tires and the inside thread was worn out, I bought the j&m camber plates and aligned it and its good now, so yes you will need them later on

  • You should be fine. You just have to be way more carefull with speed bumps and very low ramps so that the bumper and bottom doesnt get scratched. Other than that you should be good. Your car will have a great look to it enjoy it !

Fitment with Saleen S281 20" wheels and struts? I have a 2010 v6 with Saleen suspension kit installed with lowering spring that give it a 1.25" drop. I'm not satisfied with the drop because its not slammed, now I'm thinking of installing these to give it more drop.

    H&R lowering springs

    December 11, 2011

If your looking for a nice squat from your mustang, these are the springs to go with. Installation was a brezze. Took about an hour an a hafe to two hours to install. Nothen crazy as long as you have all the right tools. Which aren't a lot. The looks more aggressive and the handling has improved. Only thing is the comfort and a little of the smoothness of the car is gone. But that's always a giving when dropping any car. Besides that just enjoy the neck turns your gonna get with your new look.

    Sexy Springs

    March 22, 2013

I would never recommend any other springs besides HnR. I have them in all of my mustangs and the difference is night and day. The shipping was quick too. I got them in 3 days. The installation time was also easy. I got all four of them in in less than 1 hour. I love the ride and the look of my car now. The handling is a lot better too and it just looks so sexy. I could really not be anymore satisfied.
