Worth every penny...!
Upon request AM switched me from SCT SF3/X3 to Diablosport Trinity T-1000 after I had tuning issues from the second set of new tunes issued to accommodate my latest AM radiator Mods. The original tunes were set-up for C&L Cold Air Intake, 90mm BBK Throttle Body, Accel Super Coil On Plug, and Ford Racing X-Pipe with custom 2-3/4” non-restrictive pipe connecting to Roush Axle-Backs.
I can honestly say after using both the T-1000 is worth the extra money with touchtone screen and manual push button features, especially over-all tuner performance. Same stock, custom, and race tune with a simple high performance Mishimoto radiator and 170 degree thermostat requiring cooling fan tweak the T-1000 sponsored tunes felt smoother, faster, and throttle response was insane. I easily contribute the performance enhancements to the T-1000 and running an average of 40 degrees lower temp don’t develop that level of power differences.
Shifting gears under max power race tune output no doubt smoother and the T-1000 shift lights promotes shifts before the Rev limiter shuts down engine causing loss of power, which is a huge bonus. I immediately noticed the engine didn’t choke down as fast between shifts in comparison allowing the RPMs to stay a little above 5.0L/3.73 gear ratio power band of 2800 starting point without extra effort for increasing power to the ground output.
Oddly enough the incredible T-1000 results I’ve experienced is accomplished with a Ford (bolt-action rifle feel) factory stock shifter and it’s on my list to replace with custom short throw, but the T-1000 makes it unnecessary at this point. Nonetheless why stop now…lol.
The HD gages look cool and offer a practical purpose, but not a necessity for me because I don’t waste time trying to read them individually accept for the LED shift light mode that only requires normal peripheral view reaction.
I know people claim there’s no difference between tuner performances delivering the same tunes, but if you’re like me “drive by the seat of your pants” style my experiences says that’s not completely true using the Dialosport Trinity T-1000.
