All late-model Chargers have been equipped with a security gateway module designed to prevent your vehicle’s CAN bus from being hacked adding a layer of safety against a real threat. However, this feature can also prevent you from installing aftermarket safety and convenience devices like external cameras. This Infotainment FCA Security Gateway Module Bypass changes all that. As its name implies, this device is engineered to temporarily bypass your security gateway module, allowing full access to your ECU via your OBD port. This permits you to install aftermarket cameras and other devices, ensuring added safety on the road.
Intuitive Design and Rugged Construction. This security gateway module bypass comes in a design that makes it intuitive to use. Specifically, this device’s connectors are an exact match to your vehicle’s gateway module and are configured in such a way that it’s virtually impossible to install it incorrectly. The unit itself features housing that’s injection-molded from black automotive-grade plastic. This construction makes this device extremely resistant to deterioration for long service life.
Trouble-Free Plug-and-Play Install Procedure. The security gateway module bypass’ terminals are designed identical to your Charger’s factory bypass connectors. This factor makes installing this module an efficient plug-and-play process. Please note that installing this device will require you to disassemble a few trim panels on your dash. Additionally, this bypass module is designed to be used temporarily while you reprogram your ECU using an OBD Genie. This means you will be leaving your dash will remain open until reprogramming is complete. Other than this step, the installation device is a trouble-free procedure that requires just standard hand tools to complete.
