Description
Get the Most from Your HEMI. Get the most performance from your Charger’s HEMI engine when you install this Mishimoto Direct-Fit Oil Catch Can Kit in Black. The HEMI engine is legendary for the power it’s able to produce. However, this power comes at a price, which is in the form of engine blow-by that results in the accumulation of performance-robbing sludge. This oil catch can traps as much of the oil vapors included in crankcase pressure as possible before this gets reintroduced back into your engine. This greatly prevents the oil from eventually turning into engine sludge, thus keeping your HEMI performing as it should.
Specialty Internal Design. At the heart of this oil catch can is a specially designed internal structure comprised of a baffling system and a 50-micron bronze filter. This internal structure works with an air diverter that keeps crankcase pressure agitated longer while inside the can. This design works to extract as much oil from the crankcase pressure as possible. Also, the catch can is capable of holding up to 3 ounces of oil, which is good for about 3,000 miles before you’ll need to empty it.
Robust Build Quality. This catch can starts out as a billet of 6061 aluminum alloy before being machined to exact specifications. This construction produces a component that offers superior durability and corrosion resistance while remaining light in weight. Its fittings are similarly machined from aluminum, offering the same level of durability as the can. Meanwhile, a high-quality Viton rubber O-ring ensures a tight seal. Lastly, this assembly comes anodized in black, giving it a sleek look as well as extra protection against corrosion.
Efficient Installation. This Mishimoto oil catch can utilizes preexisting locations in the engine bay as its mounting location. This component is designed to mount in line with the PCV system without the need for drilling or other modifications. Also, installation requires just standard hand tools to complete.
