    SLP Power-Flo Axle-back

    February 12, 2008

The SLP Power flo Axle back Exhaust looks just as good as it sounds. Sound rumbles in the cabin and outside around 1800-2300 RPM\\\'s and again above 3500. Not obnoxious when cruising at 70 MPH, but lets loose a roar when down shifting and hitting the pedal. Will not upset your neighbors in the morning, not much louder than stock during idle. Fills in the rear end completely, much better than the stock pipes. 125% satisfied!

Looks awesome, fills in the bumper cut outs, sound is amazing. little louder than stock at idle and during take off they sound nice and throaty. I have an off-road x-pipe and its definitely one of the loudest cars with mufflers on. Love the exhaust, wouldn't trade it for anything, mix these with the off-road Xpipe if your looking for a loud combo

SLP Exhaust with Catted SLP X Pipe

    September 27, 2010

The install went ok on my 2010 Mustnag GT Convertible, you definately need the car totally off of the ground so that you can slide all of the way under. The third emissions sensor is a bear to remove from stock from underneath. Once that is done stock H pipe came out easily. The X Pipe and Cats went in with ease. The SLP mufflers which I thought was going to be the easy part were deffinately more troublesome. It would be nice if they labled them left and right, it is not as obvious as you would think. The drivers side went in ok and lined up ok. The passenger side was a completely different story. The attached bracket on the muffler did not line up properly. We had to bend the arm to get it to line up. It still isn't perfect but I will continue to play with it. This combination is definately loud. Not bad at idle but under way you definately hear it. There is a drone at 1900 to 2100 rpms, very annoying especially cruising in fifth doing about 70mph. I will drive it for 500 to 1000 miles if it doesn't go away I will toss these pipes. It is that annoying. Performance wise you would have to be a pro or on a dyno to notice any discernable difference between this set-up vs. stock.

Too many pieces to aline. Sounds good. Not too loud until I put "X" pipe on. Sounds good outside-too uneven inside after "X" pipe was installed.

    The roar of the beast

    January 15, 2011

Did extensive comparison between SLP and Borla. Online, it is hard to truly tell the differences other than the sounds. Decided to go for the SLP, one word: Awesome! The way the car came alive is indescribable. From sound to looks. Great product. At low gear high rpms the sound is aggressive and higher notes. Drop the rpms and keep the gear one up the base growl is fantastic. Thanks American muscle for your great customer support and service- Raf
