Super Aggressive Exhaust Rumble. This SLP Performance Parts Axle-Back System eliminates the restrictive factory mufflers entirely from the 2005-2010 Mustangs, drastically reducing back pressure for enhanced power and aggressive sound.

Rugged, Durable Construction. SLP's Axle-Back system is made from 2.5" mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel tubing, which has excellent flow characteristics and features pre-welded hangers for simple installation. The hand polished, 3.5" dual wall tips give a show quality muscle car appearance to the rear of your Pony.

Application. The SLP Loudmouth Axle-Back is designed to fit the 2005-2010 GT, 2008-2009 Bullitt, and 2007-2010 Shelby GT500 Mustangs.

Technical Note: Americanmuscle recommends adding the 2005+ Mustang 304 Stainless Steel Exhaust Hanger Kit from the drop down option above, to provide more strength, stability and a cleaner installed appearance. If you have a 2007 Mustang you may need the kit for correct installation.

      Amazing sound

Added a growl to the already good sounding engine. The perfect axle-back exhaust as long as you don’t mind a little drone

      Sounds Nice, Easy Install

If you watch youtube videos to reference the exhaust note, it's exactly what I wanted. Takes about 30 minutes to remove the old and install the new. No issues on fitment, and straightforward installation.

      Loudmouth is an understatement

Buyer beware. These may be "loud" on a mildly modded car, but with a cam, LT headers, and a catted xpipe, they're downright obnoxious! And I love it. Cold start, they rumble and spit. After warming up...they calm down, until you mash the pedal. Pretty easy to scare the pants off the driver next to you on the highway. Not much drone, and actually pretty docile at cruising speed. Buy the hangar kit. I didnt, but will order today. Fit is just a tad off with the kooks xpipe. All in all, I love it. My wife....not so much.

      Price slightly high

I am a fan of loud exhaust. Very loud exhaust. Before I owned my 05 GT, I had a straight piped 2012 impala. That thing was loud. Don’t ask why I did that. The SLP Loudmouth axleback is loud, but not quite as loud as many like myself would like. On a scale from 1-10 I’d give it a 5, maybe a 6 on WOT. If you are really looking for the most sound out of your mustang, id couple this system with a catless H pipe or X pipe. In retrospect, the money spent on this system would have been better spent on one of those off-road systems. There are cheaper axlebacks which I believe could offer the same level of sound but maybe the SLPs have a richer, more pleasant sound. I’m not sure. All in all, no regrets. But I would consider going cheaper from the axle...back.

      Excellant sound

These axle back pipes are a great addition to your car if your looking for instant sound with not a lot of work. Took about an hour and a half to install, and needed basic tools.

      SLP loudmouth

Love the exhaust, has a nice deep sound. Only problem is the driver side hanger is just a bit too long and makes the driver side exhaust tip hang lower than the passenger side. I’m sure if you mess with it some you could line it up.

They should call this "Head Turner Axle-Back"!

Best 360 bucks I have ever spent. If you drive soft the exhaust sounds pretty mellow, but when you hit an empty street and open up, this thing absolutely SCREAMS! Be prepared for lots of compliments and attention, as well as a lower MPG ;) Only issue with mine was the left tip doesn't sit at the same height or angle as the right one, even after tweaking it, but it doesn't really bother me.

      Slp loudmouths axle backs

Love the way they sound! Definitely the best choice if you want loud for a good price, Only thing is that I have and 09 bullitt and the hangers didn't line up right at all. But I made it work and still looks and sounds amazing

The real review for loud exhaust fans

Yes they are loud, mostly from the outside though. I love loud exhaust and I definitely want more than this can give but you need to do more than an axle back to get there. They do have a great sound to them though and no drone what so ever like I got from my Borla Stingers. I do have to say the fit and finish kind of sucked. The flange that goes over the over axle pipe on the passenger side didn’t have relief cuts in them so it wouldn’t clamp down on it but that got fixed with an angle grinder. Also the driver side brackets weren’t quite proper so I had to wrestle with it to get it bolted. All in all though a good kit as long as you can swing a wrench.

Love the sound and love American Muscle! You own a mustang? If you do this is the place to get what you need. The only thing I had a issue with was the brackets were a little off but easy to make it work. The sound is awesome! Want people to turn their heads when u come by.... then this is it!!

      Good looking exhaust

Since I put these on a V6 I had to do a little bending on the hangers so they would fit right. I used a ford racing exhaust conversion some years ago. These axle backs replaced a set of Pypes Pipebomb axle backs. These sound great. Not as loud as I expected but a 4.0 will never be as loud as a V8. Overall a great product.

      Badass!!

I still have the factory cats and headers but the previous owner had put on SLP Powerflos.. I'm not sure why since those are designed more for the V6's.. They sounded good and had a nice deepness to them but they still didn't quite have that "American muscle car" growl I have been looking for. I ordered these Loudmouths and got them in about 3 days.. Install took about an hour and a half only because when I put it all together again the passenger pipe just wasn't facing straight out as is should.. I had to play with it a little bit to get it to line up but it finally did.. All in all, I am very happy with these pipes.. They give you a loud "in your face" kind of scream but aren't too loud until you start playing around with the cats and mid pipes.. I can't wait to see what this setup will sound like with a Pypes Off-Road H-Pipe!! You can see the before and after on the You Tuberlars by looking up "05 Mustang Gt SLP Upgrade Before and After"..
