    • Rich, Throaty Exhaust Sound
    • 3.5" Polished 304 Stainless Steel Tips
    • Fits 2005-2010 GT and Shelby GT500 Mustangs
Super Aggressive Exhaust Rumble. This SLP Performance Parts Axle-Back System eliminates the restrictive factory mufflers entirely from the 2005-2010 Mustangs, drastically reducing back pressure for enhanced power and aggressive sound.

Rugged, Durable Construction. SLP's Axle-Back system is made from 2.5" mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel tubing, which has excellent flow characteristics and features pre-welded hangers for simple installation. The hand polished, 3.5" dual wall tips give a show quality muscle car appearance to the rear of your Pony.

Application. The SLP Loudmouth Axle-Back is designed to fit the 2005-2010 GT, 2008-2009 Bullitt, and 2007-2010 Shelby GT500 Mustangs.

Technical Note: Americanmuscle recommends adding the 2005+ Mustang 304 Stainless Steel Exhaust Hanger Kit from the drop down option above, to provide more strength, stability and a cleaner installed appearance. If you have a 2007 Mustang you may need the kit for correct installation.

Comparing these by SLP to the Pypes Bombs, which exhaust is louder?

    • That's definitely a tough choice. Both exhausts are definitely loud, but on a scale of 1 to 10. I would rate the Pypes at a 8/10 and the SLP a 7/10. In my opinion, the Pypes is slightly louder than the SLP.

Does this drone like a muffler delete, because a while ago I got a muffler delete, while it sounds good, it gives me and my occasional rear passengers a headache.

    • The SLP Loudmouth Axle-Back Exhaust is a Muffler Delete axle Back, and will not have any mufflers included.

Overall pretty happy. The only thing i think could use improvement is how surprisingly quiet it still is when idling at a light ect.

      Good looking exhaust

Since I put these on a V6 I had to do a little bending on the hangers so they would fit right. I used a ford racing exhaust conversion some years ago. These axle backs replaced a set of Pypes Pipebomb axle backs. These sound great. Not as loud as I expected but a 4.0 will never be as loud as a V8. Overall a great product.

      Badass!!

I still have the factory cats and headers but the previous owner had put on SLP Powerflos.. I'm not sure why since those are designed more for the V6's.. They sounded good and had a nice deepness to them but they still didn't quite have that "American muscle car" growl I have been looking for. I ordered these Loudmouths and got them in about 3 days.. Install took about an hour and a half only because when I put it all together again the passenger pipe just wasn't facing straight out as is should.. I had to play with it a little bit to get it to line up but it finally did.. All in all, I am very happy with these pipes.. They give you a loud "in your face" kind of scream but aren't too loud until you start playing around with the cats and mid pipes.. I can't wait to see what this setup will sound like with a Pypes Off-Road H-Pipe!! You can see the before and after on the You Tuberlars by looking up "05 Mustang Gt SLP Upgrade Before and After"..

      SLP loudmouth

I had high hopes for this exhaust and all my expectations were met. The exhaust sounds amazing and it pops and has a mean growl to it. Only problem was I got the wrong extension pipe on the right side, it didn't have cut outs for the exhaust clamps, but it was no biggy cause the mechanic used a saw to cut them out for free.

      07 GT

Put these on with SLP long tube headers, minus cats and mufflers, and your neighbors along with everyone within a 1/2 mile radius will immediately hate you. The loudest exhaust outside a track I have heard.

      I can’t Believe it!!

It honestly breaks my heart writing this.... I bought this set-up about two weeks ago after all the YouTube videos I saw, I thought they would be everything I hope they would?! After being ripped off on the install (my fault I was just so eager to get them on) I was so disappointed!!! After having straight pipes, and hating it!!! Still was decently loud... but was thinking through all and all this was it? Sadly they aren’t as loud as I dreamt they would be!! It may not be the same experience for everybody, but even at cold starts it’s so quiet! Just giving my piece of mind, hopefully someone other than myself has experienced what I have?

      The sound of freedom

Sounds very loud and proud. If you’re an American with a v8 mustang this is the exhaust for you. If I had to explain the sound, it’s like hearing the sound of 100 bald eagles soaring across the Statue of Liberty. Paired with headers, an off road H pipe, they sound amazing.

      Great Sound for the Money

After installing this Axle-Back it completely woke up my car! My car finally has the sound it deserves. Also, at highway speed there is little to no drone. I would recommend this exhaust to everyone as it’s great for the money you pay.

      Slp loudmouth full review

The install wasn't bad I did it on ramps and the only part was getting the factory mufflers off. Had to pry and wiggle the old mufflers off and the whole install on ramps probably took about 2 and a half hours. The slps sound good and are definitely more than loud enough. cruising though town they are a attention getter but I they aren't unbareably loud. I drove on the highway and you do get quite a bit of drone at 2K rmps (70mph) but I just sped up to 80 and it was fine. Definitely recommend these!

It sounds awesome at 2k rpm. Deep roar. Nothing that will make cops follow you. It sounds amazing at cold start.

      Expensive but satisfied.

Pros: Easy install, good looking welds, quality material, great finish on tips, deep rumble and growl, and stays tame under 2k Cons: Expensive and my passenger side pipe wont come snug on the axle pipe. I'm sure it can be fixed with a slit cut to help it bend. Things to consider: Not as loud as they say but will scream after 3.5k. Good for someone that has never done a muffler delete before but could disappoint some others.
