How does it sound at idle?

    • When you first start the engine, you can tell it is NOT your stock muffler! It has a deeper tone and sounds like a true muscle car. It will quiet a bit as you idle but still a far cry from the factory exhaust. Then step on the gas and hear it growl.

Hello, I'm writing from Italy. I own a Mustang 4.0 V6 July 2010 “restyling” body serial number I2VBP8AN4A5148053, and I'd like to purchase a Pypes Street-Pro Axle-Back Exhaust (05-10 V6), but I'd like to make sure it will fit my car. When I look at the photos from your customers, I see that their cars are older models. Is there any way to make sure, considering that I live so far away?

    • This Pypes Street-Pro Axle-Back exhaust will fit on your 2010 4.0L V6 Mustang as the hangers and piping for the the 2010 models was the same that is found on the 2005-2009 Mustangs.

Torque? How musch torque will this add because I know it adds 5-7 hp but I am wondering how much torque it will add?

    • torque gains are usually close to hp gains 5-7 hp 4-6 torque as an oem replacement this is worth the price you will be happy if you want exact numbers you will need access to a dyno

I have dual on my v6 Mustang, do they have them for dual exhaust

    • This item does not have a dual exhaust option. A lot of possible options would depend on mounting locations on the mufflers for your dual exhaust. If the mounting locations are the same as GT platform, there would be a few options from Pypes, including the Violator Axle-Back exhaust.

      sounds really good

Sounds good - not super loud but loud enough. Really give a lot more noise in the lower rmps. Only back fires and crackles on cold start and cold days.

      2006 v6 Eleanour mustang

I have a dual exhaust 3 in installed in a Y shape. Its with the street pypes exhausts . Sounds amazing !! one thing you would want to knkw is that the welded support braquets on them do give in after a while with the vibrations. And thats a problem to fix because it makes 2 nasty holes in exhaust. You can patch them with muffler cement , but in shop they said it would just do same thing if they weld them back on.

      Pypes axle back

It sounds aggressive as they stated it would. I enjoy it, and when I had someone else drive it to hear it from another perspective, I loved it! It took almost 2 hours that is because we had to saw it off.

      exhaust

Sounds more like you would here on one of the small cars that like loud noise. Kind of disappointed; guess I should have bought the more expensive muffler. I had glass packs on my '56 Chevy and thought it would sound somewhat similar.

      Worth more than the price!

Basically a steal to make your V6 sound just like a V8, as well as a slight increase in engine power that is noticable.

This was a pretty straight forward install but when trying to center it up we had some issues. Overall it is a great exhaust with good tone and volume.

      Noticable throaty growl

Got this muffler along with the SR performance Throttle body, install took longer than expected due to not having the stock exhaust hangers on correctly..did not have to bend the hangers on the muffler much to get it pretty well centered on the bumper.. mods so far are the JLT intake, SR throttle body, Screamin Demon coil pack with this muffler and a Bama tune.. low growl at idle, till i step on the gas and it comes to life. Been asked several times if i was super charged along with the whistle of the intake parts, not as of yet but im pretty happy with this mod..cheap and does what its suppose to do!

Excessively loud drone and hurts my head. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who has a convertible. Going to be putting my stock muffler back on.

      Easy install, Great sound.

Perfect exhaust if you are looking for a stronger sound that’s not obnoxious. It looks good coming out the back and makes your stang a lot more fun to drive. Install was easy, took less then an hour with two sets of hands. All in all great bang for your buck. Would recommend.
