Improves Horsepower. This SR Performance Cold Air Intake kit completely replaces the restrictive stock air box and paper filter element in your 2005 to 2009 4.0L V6 mustang with a high flow filter assembly for a noticeable increase in horsepower and throttle response all while still filtering out harmful power robbing dust particles. This SR CAI pulls in cooler denser air to make more power that you can feel.

Reusable Filter. Included in this kit is a SR Performance High Flow reusable air filter. So there is no need to go out and buy a new filter every few thousand miles. Just clean the filter, re-oil it, save money, and go!

Powdered Coated Finish. The SR Performance Cold Air Intake will not only improve horsepower and acceleration, but it will also improve your Mustang's under hood appearance with a striking gloss black powder coated finish. Now you can have the best of both worlds, performance and style.

Simple Install. The SR Performance Cold Air Intake kit is relatively easy to install with only basic hand tools needed. No extra modifications are required for the installation. See the video below for a basic overview of the installation process.

Technical Note. The Mass Airflow Housing and Sensor are not included. This kit is designed to reuse the stock unit.

      Great CAI for the Price!!

In my opinion, SR performance brand is just as good as the expensive brands at a cost friendly competitive price. Very straight forward to install, and looks great as well. Good quality product, although, I believe the air filter itself should be bigger in diameter to provided a little more air flow as it seems to strain for air suction. No instructions in kit, but pretty straight forward to install. Bought for my sons 2008 Mustang for his birthday and will be buying another for my other sons 2010 Mustang as well. I would definitely recommend this product.

      Cold Air Intake

Receive couple of weeks ago but had a support bracket missing. AM sent just what I needed and installed this weekend. Great add on to go with the Bama Tuner. I sure time will show the improvements I expect. Good bang for your buck.

      nice hit weird to install

so i bought this as a small pick me up project for me and my father (just got diagnosed with cancer). it worked well enough, but we where missing one 1 important bolt for the heat shield. we made due with a random one we found but the other thing is there are no assembly instructions so even though he is an ex mechanic he was able to figure it out but parts of the heat shield placement would have been beneficial to have a diagram of the placement steps.

      This was a defect

I ordered mine got it on time. And had it on my car less than a week when somehow the cold air intake cracked and the rubber melted. It wasn’t touching anything obviously bc of the cover that protects the filter.

      Upgrading my ride

The Cold air intake filter was easy to install and mount in the engine compartment. Took less than 45 minutes. The only problem I had was keeping the actual filter from falling off the pipe. The mount rings did not actual close enough. But I'm glad I brought the Intake.

      Good

It’s good but it does need a tune like the other comments said it does. Check engine still comes on but when taken off and factory one put back on it goes away.

Cheap price is reflected by cheap quality

Bought this CAI to give myself a little horsepower boost to have some fun with and I was excited to know installing one of these is very easy. I started the install and removed my old intake just to find the SR performance intake did not come with the correct amount of screws or washers. It also didnt come with the correct tool that it claimed it came with. Once i went to the store to get the right screws came home to finally install it then found out the fit is very poor and would require the relocation of some wires. Keep in mind my stang is stock and i would of had to cut wires.

      Decent BUT could be better

The promptness of shipping and installation was great. 3 days and 20 minutes and it was on! Only problem I had was air flow... not sure if I have to much or to little but my 06 V6 idles rough for about 2 minutes then settles out. I’ve looked for leaks and tightened EVERYTHING down to no avail. I did notice a power increase when it did decide it wanted to act normal again! Over all good but definitely look into it

      SR CAI

Great product, got two codes for running light on bank one and two easy fix with my Bama tuner! Worth the money, but I suggest investing a tuner otherwise you’ll be spending 100 on visiting a mechanic to correct the code. All intakes should be tuned whether they do not need one or not. Didn’t come with two bolts I needed luckily had a couple laying around. I’d recfomend to others but please send instructions (whether most do not need or not) and the actual screws/bolts required for the install to not upset customers

      Needs tune

At first it was great!! Essay to install but after driving with it I released the engine light was on and it was idoling funny. the next day I took it to the shop my mechanic told me it was getting to much air to the Engine and that’s why it was rough at idol rough.so I when to the A.M website and ordered my self up a Bama tuners.and got int the next day and putting the tune on the car and the intake was perfect and has been ever since and not to mention the large hp gains i think it was around 25-30 hp huge difference in the cars performance.

      Cold Air Intake

This kit was not bolt on. It was Missing bolts, and the clamp for air filter was too big, this kit does Require tuning as the new air flow causes a lean bank 1 and 2 code.

Decent Gain but it does need a tune

It's a good product, great fit and finish. Took about an hour to install. The gains were nice, but my check engine light is on, and the code says I'm running lean. This does in fact need a tune.

      Not the best instructions

The instructions are not the best, but with determination I figured it out. It does fit well after cursing a bit. In Colorado, it does require a tune, so says the mustang expert. My check engine light stays on after resetting, less air flow mixture. If I wasn't dead set on customizing my v6 I would return the CAI. Instead I spent more money on a tune. I'm not totally pleased. The tune better solve the check engine light and get better performance.

      Wasn't worth it

Sent me the wrong amount of bolts/nuts, and rubs the hood of my car, I now have to slowly put my hood down. feels like it works well, but the hole thing together, I'd rather have my stock still on.

      Great Product

You'll need some extra bolts for mounting one part of the heat shield, also have to bend it a little bit to fit inside. Only took longer because I had to run to ace for the bolt. Combined this with a throttle body spacer and the car sounds great, definitely an increase in power and torque. 100 would recommend, car idling also sounds much better and cleaner. Also have to the disconnect the negative terminal on the battery in order to avoid the check engine light you will get from the engine not adjusting. Also looks very clean inside the engine bay
