      Video Review & Installation

Hey, guys, it's Sara with And today, we have a review and install of the V3R Style Wicker Bill Spoiler Add-on in Gloss Black, fitting your '15 and newer Dodge Charger. This is perfect for the Charger owner that wants to add some style to their car and is looking for a Wicker Bill option that installs directly to your current wing. This Wicker Bill add-on features track-inspired styling with a more aggressive design to give the back of your Charger a more aftermarket look. It features an automotive-grade plastic construction with a gloss black finish and a clear second centerpiece that you have the option to mount on the inside or outside of your Wicker Bill. So, as far as price goes, this option comes in at around $175 which is middle of the road price-wise when compared to other wing options. And for your money, this Wicker Bill add-on features a more aggressive design when compared to some of the factory-style wings and it mounts directly to your current wing. And as far as the install goes, I'm giving this one a three out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It does require drilling in order to mount it to your current wing and you will need a rivnut tool to install those rivnuts. All in all, it can be done within two hours. So with that said, let's check out the install. For this install, you will need a drill and an 11/32 drill bit, a ratchet and a 4-millimeter Allen socket or an Allen key, a Sharpie, some painter's tape, and a measuring tape. All right. So the first step in our install process is to grab the larger part of the Wicker Bill kit, and what we're gonna do is line it up on the existing wing and look for our center point. Now, what we're gonna do first is line up the center point of this piece. Now you should be using the backup camera as a guide to get you right in the center, and if you are worried about your actual paint on your decklid you can put a little painter's tape over top of it. I recommend holding this up several times just to be certain that you like the location before we start to drill.Another trick to help us out is to grab a piece of painter's tape and some sort of straight edge. Go ahead and put your painter's tape over that wing. Line up your straight edge. Now, using a straight edge, go up from your reverse camera and go ahead and make a line right at your center mark. All right. Now that you have your mark, replace the Wicker Bill piece. Make sure it lines up with the mark that you made and you like where the placement is.I would go ahead and just make a second mark just to be sure that aligns up the other direction and now we can drill our hole. Now that you've marked your hole we have our drill here that's going to drill into this. Just be careful that you don't come out the other side of the wing. All right, now we have the included rivnut here, just gonna double-check that it slides into the wing that we drilled the proper size hole. Go ahead and thread it on the top of your rivnut tool, line it up with the hole, and then press it in. And now that the rivnut is in, we can install the Wicker Bill. Go ahead and hold it up and install the included hardware. Now, there is still room for adjustability here, up-down and side to side, so what I suggest doing is holding this entire piece up and then throwing some painter's tape or having a friend hold it in place to be sure that you're making the rest of your marks in the proper areas. Next up, we'll be drilling the outside holes. I have it taped down, I have a little bit of tape behind it and I'm gonna mark the very outside of the Wicker Bill. Now, I also have this lined up underneath with your wing at the bottom just as a reference point, and we can mark the other side. And now that you've marked your holes, repeat that process by drilling and installing the rivnut. And repeat that on the other side. And again, we're gonna loosely install the hardware so that we still have some room for adjustment and so we can add our second panel. All right, now that we have the edges installed, I'm gonna remove this center bolt so we can slide in our plastic piece. I have a 4-millimeter Allen socket here, go ahead and remove that bolt. Now, this center clear piece can be installed on the outside or the inside so it's up to your personal preference. I'm gonna install it on the inside which is why I'm installing it at this point. Go ahead and reinstall the hardware. Now, I suggest realigning the entire Wicker Bill making sure it's sitting exactly how and where you want it, and then go ahead and tighten it down with that 4-millimeter Allen key. Now I'm just gonna make a Sharpie dot each of these, I know it's black on black, we still should be able to see it. Or if you have a silver Sharpie or if you did wanna put some of the tape behind there you definitely can. Now we can pull this Wicker Bill off completely and drill and rivnut our final holes. Now we can drill and rivnut all of the holes. Now we're gonna reinstall the Wicker Bill pieces starting with these two end bolts and then we will slide the center piece in. Leave these loose for now so you can ensure that it's adjusted exactly how you want it and then tighten it down after. And now you can slide the center piece in, or on the outside if you've chosen to go that route. I'm gonna start with the center and just loosely install the rest of these bolts. And once it's exactly where you'd like it, grab your 4-millimeter Allen key or Allen socket, go ahead and tighten these down. All right. So, that is gonna do it for the review and install of this Wicker Bill. And remember for all things Charger, keep it at
