Description
Enhanced Duty Emissions Control. The Flowmaster 225 Series Enhanced Duty Catalytic Converter with 2.50-inch inlet and outlet is designed to reduce harmful emissions while maintaining excellent exhaust flow. It serves as a direct or consolidated replacement part to meet federal EPA standards, ensuring compliance and optimal engine performance.
Construction and Appearance. This catalytic converter features a stainless steel outer shell for superior durability and corrosion resistance. Its ceramic substrate material is engineered with precious metal loading to provide high efficiency and prevent Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) codes. The natural finish and oval clam shell body design deliver a robust and reliable component, including a heat shield for added protection.
Installation. Installation requires welding and possible fabrication, making it suitable for qualified technicians familiar with exhaust system modifications. The slip-fit inlet and outlet connections typically eliminate the need for drilling.
Warranty. This product includes a 25,000-mile emissions warranty and a 5-year/50,000-mile warranty on the exterior case.
Application. Fits universal applications with some adaptation required. It is not legal for sale or use on vehicles licensed or operated in California or states adopting California emissions standards.
