      Video Review & Installation

Jake: Jake here for AmericanMuscle. And today, I'm taking a look at this SRT Factory Style Rear Bumper Lower Diffuser, fitting various different trims and years of Chargers. Now, before we dive in too deep here, I wanna take a moment to acknowledge that this does have a bit of a complicated fitment. However, it is all detailed on our website, so make sure you check that over before you buy just to make sure that it's gonna fit your car. Now, if you're looking for an inexpensive, simple, and OEM-type way to give your Charger a nice injection of style, this is gonna be right up your alley.Inspired by the SRT models that this rear diffuser is gonna take your Charger's aggressive style and bump it up just a little bit. Now, the biggest difference here between this and your standard rear diffuser is the inclusion of these four vertical veins here. Now, these bring some of that race car-inspired style to the rear fascia of the Charger, and they're intended to help a little with aerodynamics as well. Now, that's not to say that you're gonna feel a massive difference in grip or down-force, but a little extra airflow is no bad thing. You also get the integrated cutouts here for your exhaust as well, so you can keep those factory exhaust bezels as well without needing new tips. However, if you do wanna go with new tips, you can simply leave those out, trim this up, or just put new tips through it as you see fit. All makes for a pretty clean factory-style look with just a little bit of extra spice. So, if you want something clean but with a hint of aggression to it, this is gonna be a great option. The diffuser is comprised of injection-molded ABS plastic, so it's lightweight, durable, and it's designed to last a long time. And the finish here, as you see, is meant to mimic your stock part. So, it's gonna look just right mounted up on your car just as it comes out of the box like this. However, since this is ABS plastic, you do always have the option to paint it as well, should you choose to do so.Pricing is gonna come in at around $200, making it one of the less expensive options when it comes to rear diffusers. So, if you wanna improve the style of your Charger while keeping it budget-friendly, this is gonna be a great choice for you. Installation is gonna get a one out of three and should be able to be completed in about an hour's time. Now, this is designed to be a direct replacement for your stock lower valance, so it mounts right up to your factory bumper, and it's a pretty straightforward process. You've got holes already drilled for the clips, and you've got other clips on the top here, so this should just pop right into your bumper with no modification needed. And to show you that process now, let's throw it over to one of our AM customers.Man: Good morning, everybody. We are going to be installing a SRT-style rear diffuser, which is right here on my V6 Charger. So, the tools we're gonna be using, we got some pulls, we got a straight slot screwdriver to help us out, and another pull if we need for the trim. Also, got some safety glasses on and gloves. So, the main thing is there are actually some pull tabs, but two of them are different. So, I've also attached pictures with the parts in case you break any of those pull tabs. But we have one of that of the other type, which I'll show you in a second, once we take it off. Then we have four across here that are just normal pull tabs, and then we have the other one that matches this one.So, let's go ahead and get started. So, the first one, it's a screw-in. Here's a little screw-in. Now we should be able to just use this little pull and go right out, which we did. Perfect. That was the one that we were using there. Now I'm going to use a little straight slot to get these pull tabs started, and then we'll go to pull them through. And this was the pull tab that came out of there. Same exact one. Another one. Last one of these type. Oh, that one I didn't even need to use the pull tab. I was able to just pull that through. Let's take the last part out, the part that actually holds it on. And now we have this last of the screw-in ones down here. All right. I'll keep those together. I like to keep 'em right where they were. All right. This way you guys can see me pull it off a little bit better. So now that we have all the pull tabs on the bottom off, this actually cinches down right here. There we go. You see it starts coming out just like that. I used this at the very end, that way I got a little bit of leverage. We might have to use that down at the other end too. Here we go. Easy-peasy. It came right off. We're pretty much gonna be following the same exact way how we took the factory one off.So, if you look up here, you'll see these little grooves right here. That's where we're gonna match up with the new diffuser. So, as we see, this is where the push tabs go. Here are those little grooves that go right into there. Now, I just like to go right to left, but you guys can do it left to right if you want. So, I'm just using the screwdriver to help me guide this into the groove. Just lift up on the bottom apparently, and that'll get it lined up. So again, there we go. I just had to lift up here. That seemed to be the key. And there we go. Perfection. So, on this last one, let's lift up right down here underneath the exhaust tip and you press up. Now, we just need to put these back on. All right. Since we're this side, I'm gonna start on this side and we'll work back in. Should be pretty easy. That way we can get these nice and seated tight. I took off the middle part, that way I can match up the hole. Here we go. I'm using the straight slot for this part, even though it's a Phillips just because it seems to get better torque and won't strip. There we go. And we're nice and tight. Make sure these holes line up. Again, I'm gonna take off the middle piece of this one so I can get it lined up. This one is a bit tighter. And now I'm lifted up on the tab underneath the exhaust so I can get this hole straightened because it wasn't quite there. Now we're on. Now, we screw this down. Let's make sure everything...do a little pull test to make sure nothing comes off.Jake: That's gonna wrap it up for our review and install of the SRT Factory Style Rear Bumper Lower Diffuser, fitting various different trims and years of Chargers. Thank you for watching. And remember, for all things Charger, be sure to keep it right here at americanmuscle.com.

This design gives you improved downforce, giving your ride greater stability when cornering at higher speeds. What’s more, these fins give your vehicle a race car style, making your vehicle stand out no matter where you drive.

This process produces a rear bumper lower diffuser that offers exceptional durability and resistance to deterioration as well as an exact fit. Additionally, this component comes in black that looks great on its own, but is more than capable of being painted to color-match your Charger’s finish.

Trouble-Free Install Procedure. Installing this rear diffuser is a relatively trouble-free procedure as this utilizes factory locations as its mounting area. Minor drilling may be needed to affect the correct fit.
